"Classy and elegant hotel, perfectly located with lots of period charm and excellent service. Everything was to a very high standard and we would have no hesitation in staying again. The only minor consideration is the limited parking but Beaumont advised of this ahead of time and provided a parking disc for our stay and as we were out and about during our the day it didn't cause any issues. "

"The BEST hotel we stayed at during our 2 week trip to UK. The hotel itself is unbelievable - part of a long gone history, impeccably maintained with very clean grounds, facilities and rooms. The staff is extremely polite, attentive, patient and professional. The rooms are very clean and intimate. The restaurant is exquisite and the food just out of this world. From the first bite, to the last, you wish plates would keep on coming. Highly recommended and quite affordable."

"The staff - special mention for Sam - were helpful and there when needed. I forgot to pack our toothbrushes and we were supplied with them free of charge. The bedroom was small but it's an old coaching inn so many irregularities to be expected. The bathroom was big! Dinner and breakfast were very good and the location is good. Not far to the lake district or borders and very peaceful in a small village."
