The Beaumont Hotel

The Beaumont Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"A wonderful hotel well positioned in Hexham and as a base for exploring the surrounding area. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast consisted of a buffet selection and items cooked to order and was very tasty. Parking in the hotel car park was limited, but there is plenty of on street parking, which requires a token from the hotel."

Slaley Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort

8/10 Good
"Slaley is a grand hotel, outdated in parts, but don't let this put you off. Check in was quick, room spacious and clean. Nice view over looking the driveway. Bars were good and not to expensive. Breakfast was ok,food was fine, but kept running bout. lots of guests and the coffee machines kept running out aswell. Leisure facilities were good, could do with more loungers, but its finding places to put them. Overall had a good might away. Would stay again"

Langley Castle Hotel

Langley Castle Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"Having recently stayed at Langley Castle, I can honestly say this was one of the best hotel experiences I have had in a long time. My wife and I travel extensively, and it is rare that you find somewhere where you immediately 'feel at home'. This is largely due to the genuine and warm hospitality shown by all of the staff throughout our stay. On top of this the breakfast and service in the restaurant was outstanding and certainly befitting of such a special hotel. The tour of the castle is not to be missed either. Our room, which was in the main castle itself was very impressive with a magnificent 4 poster bed and had a real feel of grandeur. Despite having exposed stone walls the room was extremely clean and free from dust which must be a real challenge in such an old building. Overall, a wonderful stay and we will be back. Highly recommended."

"Very helpful owner, chatty and friendly. We had an ensuite bedroom in a shared house which surprised me from the photos. Bed and bathroom was spotless but lots of dead flies in the overhead light shade and badly stained counterpane. The breakfast is excellent with lots of choice. Would definitely stay there again..."

The Queens

The Queens

10/10 Excellent
"My wife and I stayed here for one night 20-8-26, the place is really easy to find, located in a village out in the countryside a few miles from Carlisle. Everything about the place is great, the food, the beer, the location and car parking. Best of all are the staff, really friendly and helpful. We will be staying here again on our way home from Scotland in a week and am looking forward to it. The coked breakfast is huge and really good, as is the porridge. The ingredients they use use are top notch, and I sincerely hope they never change that policy in order to save a few coppers, to me that is potentially commercial suicide. It’s happened all over the place, restaurants etc use good quality ingredients, build a good reputation, then cost cut with staff and inferior ingredients, bang goes the quality, bang go the customers, boom goes the business. You will gather… in our opinion the Queens is a great place to stay"

Le Petit Chateau & William de Percy

Le Petit Chateau & William de Percy

8/10 Good
"Excellent stay when here for an evening wedding party. Booked a meal ( only had 1 course) for before party, which was excellent, very good service too. Drink prices quite high, but I suppose should be expected as is a wedding venue. Breakfast was nice, but had to ask for extra coffee( for 4) twice before getting. Also had to ask for toast as not offered when taking food orders. Poor selection of fruit available and no Greek yogurt even though on menu. For breakfast servings, May I suggest that you offer filtered coffee instead of that from a commercial coffee machine, which would save time . Would certainly stay again should another wedding invitation, for the venue, be received."
