"We had an overall nice stay here. The hotel is a beautiful old building in a fantastic location, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. On-site parking was a great bonus (£15 per night). Our room was very clean, and having a mini-fridge was a nice touch. Sitting by the window enjoying the city view was definitely a highlight. A few areas that need improvement: Bathroom: The shower water pressure was poor and didn't get very hot. The hot tap on the sink didn't work at all (despite the "caution: hot water" sign). Noise & Flooring: The floorboards were extremely creaky, and soundproofing between rooms and hallways is quite thin. Thankfully, other guests were quiet during our stay, so it wasn't a major issue for us. Comfort & Maintenance: The pillows were very flat (I was glad I brought my own!), and the lock on our room door was a bit temperamental."

"Lovely pool and fitness amenities, gym was well appointed but could be bigger. The rooms were glorious and comfy, though the bathrooms aren’t well thought out. The dining room was pretty woeful, not well maintained (grubby in places), and though the staff were mostly helpful and obliging, service leaves much to be desired and the food was ordinary at best, quality questionable and option were meagre."

"Lovely hotel, incredibly helpful & respectful staff & great location. Breakfast was great, lots of choice and good service. Service in the restaurant for an evening meal was very respectful & attentive however the atmosphere in there is staid - no ambient music, echoey because the wood floor in the conservatory, also menu limited & expensive. I wouldn’t eat in there again."

"Clean, modern rooms, pleasant staff and good all round breakfast, although not right in the City centre which I prefer not to be anyway, only a 10 mins slow walk and you are in the City, One big negative though, having stayed in both Holiday Inns and Expresses many times, having to pay for parking, I appreciate the hotel prices being higher for Bath compared to other places but to charge for parking as well is going to put visitors and guests off staying at the Holiday Inn, myself included."

"Great location, very boutique style hotel. The lighting in the room needs to be improved dramatically. It was dim and difficult to read a book. Minor issue, but the coffee cups provided were old and had significant stains, a real put off if using them for coffee or tea. The doors in lobby made significant noise that carried up through the second floor. Perhaps look at a way to dampen that."
