"Absolutely beautiful hotel. The minute I walked into my room and saw the stunning ocean I was in awe. To wake up to that view every morning was breathtaking. The buffet breakfast was awesome, everything was delicious and the variety of food was great. I will be returning to this hotel. Couldn’t ask for anything better"

"We had a brief (2 nights) stay at Rocha Brava. The property was in need of an update but was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Staff were helpful and efficient. The garden areas were well kept and the pools looked inviting but were unheated so as we our stay was in early March we did not make use of them.Useful free return shuttle service which ran three times per day from the site to the local village & beach. "

"The apartment was very clean and the reception staff was courteous. The apartment itself lacked even the basic condiments so make sure you bring your own Coffee for the coffee machine (Filter coffee), and your own salt and pepper, napkins/tissue papers (its a shame). Also note that all rooms are at different levels (about 8 steps to each area) so not ideal if you have mobility issues or have small children (wouldn't recommend this place for families with children). Mattress quality can be improved. One afternoon there was no water in the apartment due to some broken water line which was quite inconvenient. No grocery store nearby (walking distance). Sharing all this so you can plan ahead. "

"hotel is a bit remote from the towns, but sits right next to the cliffs and a beach. the trail starts right at the cliff. free parking onsite, but you need to drag your luggage’s over stone roads, or ask for help of staff to drive a kart. resort is nicely laid out and breakfast is great. one issue is the power was out for one night due to the coastal weather, and no staff was at the reception for the night. luckily internet and heating was still available."

"We had a fantastic time and really appreciated the comfort and relaxed atmosphere throughout our stay. The space worked very well for everyone and made it easy to enjoy time together. The boat tour service was a great extra and added something special to our experience."

"Well appointed place, great contact on arrival and exit. About 20 min walk to the beach and 4 or 5 restaurants within a 35 min walk. Get a lovely ocean view. All round a great place and highly recommended."

"Beds were excellent, soft and comfortable. Easy to fine especially with the instructions provided by the owner. Quiet neighborhood. Can walk to beach and little local restaurants and grocery store. Carvoeiro is an easy drive with easy parking. Great Thai massage in town called Six Senses. Ask for Joy, she was wonderful. Bathroom would have used some soap and other small amenities. Only sheer curtains in the bedrooms so lots of light. OK if you like the sunshine, but not if you want to sleep in. A little bit of funky smell sometimes but the town was that way as well.Overall, a wonderful location, easy to go in any direction and would highly recommend the local tours to kayak the caves "
