The house was mostly comfortable but needs some upkeep. The communication with the host was a challenge and they did not reply to most messages (even an acknowledgment of receipt would be okay). One of the showers we could not adjust the temperature, 2 of the showers had mold. One of the biggest challenges was trying to cook as the cookware is very worn and some of it unusable. It would be nice to have a few basic essentials such as salt and pepper and hand soap upon arrival to get things started. Location was good and there is a lovely coffee shop around the corner.
Lovely property, questionable taste in decor when there are young children (we didn't use the room with skeletons in it!) We will certainly recommend it to friends and family.A clothes dryer would have been very useful. Excellent communications and vcery thoughtful managers.
Property is perfect for friends and family to spend time together. Well equipped, large kitchen and good size dining and living room. Close to A1 so easy for getting out and about. Property has a lived in feel about it making for a comfortable and relaxed stay. Excellent coffee shop just round the corner that also sells bread, milk etc too.

Beautifully refurbished manor house
Fenwick Manor House is a beautifully restored property which has been refurbished to an exceptionally high standard. The layout has been very cleverly thought out and the modern décor and furnishing works perfectly. Our party was 10 adults and a 2 year old and everyone had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.
We had a fabulous stay at the Manor House, the house was ideal for our blended family and it’s was spotlessly clean. Great location for exploring the beautiful Northumberland coastline - highly recommend.

Liked: Location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in, communication
initial impressions
We had one or two problems with property:
1) Received no E Mail about the key code number and took one and a half hours to resolve the matter
2) There was no hairdryer on premises although it advised one was available. We therefore had to buy one!!!
3) concern about the amount of beer and wine bottles stack outside rear of the building considering we had three young children in our party.
Otherwise the property was spacious and well laid out and very comfortable and very adequate for our needs.

Modern, comfortable and roomy.
Smartly decorated and fitted rooms with good space for our party of eight adults and four children. Very close to the A1 with Lindisfarne and other attractions within easy driving distance. Fenwick itself has no amenities but in Lowick a couple of miles inland there is a good general store and two pubs with a very popular chip shop in Belford.
The Manor House has a very open front with garden table, chairs and bench plus a newly fitted hot tub which incurs a cost if used. There is however no space at the rear for children to play in.
We found very little to complain about during our stay apart from a few niggles. The lounge needs at least another double settee/two easy chairs for 8 adults, the dining area - a good size - has two chairs with loose legs, the freezer door's catch is broken, the dish washer is inadequate for the needs of a large party and there is little draining space for hand washed crockery. Upstairs the bedrooms are fine although there are no full length mirrors. The bathrooms are roomy and well equipped but the showers are very cramped with no flat sufaces for soap, shampoo bottles etc. A guest with any mobility problems would find them a real problem to use. Also why are the bathroom mirrors so high above the sink? Not everybody is six feet tall!
Disposal of waste is an issue. No bins were collected while we were there despite being jammed full when we arrived. Luckily there was a skip which was emptied on the day we left.
Overall though this is a very good property for a large party and will be excellent once the issues I've mentioned are sorted.
