I took a train to Bilbao, and the Residentia was within easy walking distance. The facility was incredibly clean and honestly, if someone had told me it had just been built completed the day before I would've believed them. I can't say enough about the staff. The two women that were at the front desk were very friendly and welcoming, andmore than helpful as they got me glasses needed to witness the eclipse. Thank you.

The location is perfect literally 10 mins walk from Bilbao train station and everything within Bilbao was within walking distance if you prefer exploring on foot The bedroom dose not have air con and I did not like the shower, it felt really cramped. Besides that the staff are very helpful and the reception area is very nice.

If this building was in a different part of town, it would be incredible. And probably twice the price. As is, it's a rough street, lots of seemingly homeless people and shouting through out the night. My room was ground floor, street side so I kept the window covered so people couldn't look in. But the room is great, nice bed, great kitchen area, nice bathroom, helpful staff etc.

Located near train station - good for transport, poor for loads of drugs and homeless immigrants. Some nice places to eat, and close to city centre. Cafe for breakfast is some distance away, across 2 busy roads. Breakfast OK though. Limited vending machines at high prices. Zero amenities. No parking. Train station parking cost €40 for 2 days, and felt very insecure (but we weren't robbed). Very small room and even smaller bathroom. Beds very basic. No cooling at all, not even a desk fan. Essentially, this is the university creaming as much as they can from unfilled accommodation. Very expensive for what it is.

Staff very friendly. Very expensive for location and comfort. While rather centrally located, the area does not seem safe, which is unusual in itself in Spain. The room was clean but very simple and had some bars in front of the window. Breakfast is served in a different location.

Good value for money. Single room with en-suite had all the basics needed. Staff were friendly and helpful. People not used to cities might find the location and vibe of the streets around the accommodation slightly off-putting, but nothing to be scared of. Location is in fact very handy. Room good and staff friendly and helpful. Well situated for all the main sights BUT the junkies, drug pushers and illegal street vendors on the street outside was quite unacceptable. I have travelled quite extensively in my long life and have stayed in fairly rough areas and have never felt nervous, but this time I was!!! Has anyone from Expedia actually checked out this place?

Fairly basic student accommodation with limited bedding and toiletries, no TV in the room. Nevertheless the staff were super helpful and location was really good for old town and bars. Room was clean and had everything I needed.

This property is a student residence. I stayed in a double room with 2 twin beds. It was small but we didn’t need much room since we were only there for the weekend. The bathroom and beds were clean. There was only a top sheet on the bed, no blankets which I didn’t love but the room wasn’t cold so it was okay. There is also a tiny kitchen with plates and a few cooking utensils and a microwave if you want to reheat something and a fridge for storage. There are also a lot of areas to hang out outside of the room and some table games like ping pong and pool. To get from the center of town to the hotel isn’t bad since Bilbao isn’t huge. There’s about 3 minutes of walking where the location doesn’t feel the safest. If you go the opposite direction though it starts to feel more unsafe. Getting into the hotel isn’t a problem, but if you go the other direction it’s a little sketchy. Overall a good experience. The staff were really kind and helpful and they gave us coupons for free breakfast at a small cafe down the street where we could get a coffee and a sandwich or piece of tortilla that was delicious. If you’re only going to Bilbao for the weekend and need a cheap place to stay this is a good option, but probably not the best for more than 3 nights.

I would describe this as a university dormitory in a fantastic central location. It is perfect if you are planning to be out exploring all day and just need a convenient base to drop your bags. The staff were lovely, very helpful and the price for a weekend stay was of great value. That said, the amenities are quite basic (think all-in-one shower gel and hairdryers available on request). It can also be a little lively with street noise and neighbouring rooms. Overall, this is a good budget-friendly option in a great location, especially if you are prioritising convenience over luxury.
