Great little hotel with friendly staff and fabulous breakfast. There was no restaurant onsite which was disappointing when arriving late but staff were very helpful in suggesting options. Slight confusion over breakfast. Breakfast was included but you still had to book a time slot. This system was new and not communicated to us and some other guests so we got a frosty reception from the hostess in charge of breakfast but it was all resolved very graciously.

Really great hotel! It’s a short walk to both Lego House and Legoland. Breakfast buffet was included and there was a storage area for bags while you waited for your room to be ready. The staff was super nice and it was an overall great place. I would highly recommend!

We came to Billund to visit Legoland, and The Lodge is a perfect location. It’s only 5 minute walk to Legoland from the hotel. The hotel itself is very nice and clean. It has a pool and a game room. Breakfast was fantastic as well.

We stayed for one night at the lodge Billund, arriving late and leaving early for a trip to legoland. Our room was spotlessly clean, comfy beds with good quality bed linen and fluffy pillows. Very quiet even though our bedroom was next to the stairwell. I can't comment on facilities as our stay was so brief but I got a good impression overall, Staff were welcoming and the hotel is very well kept. It's only a 500 metre walk to legoland itself. Breakfast was delicious with a great selection. My only comment would be allergen info displayed with food items would be helpful. My son has a milk allergy, but staff were very helpful in obtaining this information for me on my asking.

Quiet considering its proximity to the airport and a very relaxed atmosphere. Nothing is too much trouble for the check-in staff. No food served in the evening, but delivery options available and a restaurant opposite, as well as those in Billund centre. Excellent value for the Legoland area.

Convenient location, a 10-15 min walk to Lego House (cool sculpture park and scenic route) and Legoland. The rooms were clean and decent. The only real issue we had was that our room was just at the top of the stairs so we could hear the loud party at the bar since it's all open concept with the bar right next to reception in the lobby (and both were staffed by the same one person, btw so service can be a bit slow). The bar is open until 2am, but in our case it did quiet by about 10:30pm. And being at the top of the stairs also meant hearing people stomping up and down them. So bring earplugs. The ceiling was also at a slant in the rooms, a bit awkward for tall folks. We found the room quite dry and warm so opened the slanted window, no screen though. The breakfast buffet was a good spread of eggs and meats and cereals and breads and fruits and veg and chocolates.

This was such a lovely place to stay with our grandson whom thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and Legoland. The pool in the hotel was a great activity that added to our trip. The breakfast was THE BEST that Ive ever had at a hotel. Highly recommend this hotel

We had a problem with our lights in the room and Diego was wonderful and helpful. He was very busy but took time to come to our room and make sure everything was working properly. He was cheerful and gracious even though it was a very busy time for him. Thank you, Diego!!

The hotel is in a great location and is close and walkable to the Lego House and Legoland. BUT not close to any place to have dinner. They had a restaurant on site but when we got there, they didn't provide any dinner or lunch options. ONLY breakfast (which was delicious). we didn't have a car so it was pretty far to go somewhere to eat so we had a few snacks.

Absolutely perfect location for visiting legoland and the Lego house, the rooms staff and breakfast were all great too. The only negative thing is that the bathroom underfloor heating seemed to be permanently on which made the room in general very warm and we needed to keep the window open all the time just to keep it cool, this may have just been our room, and to be fair, we didn’t mention it to the staff as we were only there for 2 nights & weren’t too bothered by it. Overall it was absolutely fantastic and wouldn’t hesitate to come back

Lodge was nice on the whole
The whole experience was better than average. The online check-in was slightly annoying and unnecessary (as a concierge was standing right next to us). The staff were very earnest and helpful and nothing was too much of a bother. The room was large, quiet and comfortable. The kids enjoyed the pool and sauna but the table tennis table was substandard. I’d go back and recommend for location to Lego house and closeness to airport

Welcoming, cosy hotel perfect for all the family.
We stayed at the The Lodge Hotel for 2 nights and were extremely pleased with our choice. The hotel is a short distance from Billund airport (we took the 43 bus from outside the airport) and after arriving to snow, it felt amazing to step into a warm and cosy reception area. We were greeted by an exceptionally lovely lady on reception who made check in easy and told us about the local amenities. The added bonus was our rooms were ready for us to check in to when we arrived at 11am (normal check in is 3pm) The hotel is very well equipped, my kids (5&7) loved the pool and the games room. There is also a lovely room with a gas fire and comfy beanbags - it has the perfect atmosphere to relax in. The hotel is close to the attractions we had planned to visit Lalandia and Lego House - all walking distance. The breakfast was lovely! A large choice in a lovely setting. All in all, I would 100% recommend this hotel and wouldn’t hesitate booking again if we plan to visit Billund again.

Penalizing the disabled for being slow
My stay at the hotel was fine. What happened to my daughter was not so fine. She drove me to the hotel and as zi am disabled, we tried for five minutes to access the outside elevator. She helped me to my room, took my luggage to storage and left. We did not visit. Recently, she received a parking fine for being parked for 30 minutes and 29 seconds. This is ridiculous. If the elevator had worked and checkin was faster, she would have been out in 20 minutes. Please cancel this ridiculous fine

Hello Debra,I am sorry for this bad experience at our hotel. It is not our intention to bother you with fines, but it is only allowed to park for 30 minutes for free. We only ask you to register your car at the ipad in the reception and that you can do on your own also if the reception is busy. We really try our best to inform you at arrival but if you did not talk to anybody but only went directly to your room it is not easy for us to inform you about the parking. We had booked the Courtyard Suite Terrace for one night for three adults and two young children. The room had a nice living room area and a large bathroom with a bubble bath. There was a very comfortable double bed in a room that you had to go through to get to the bathroom. Then there was made up a sofa bed for the children and an additional pull out single bed for the adult. The latter two were not comfortable so I wouldn't say this was really appropriate for three adults to be staying. We enjoyed the pool area, and a tip is to remember to turn on the sauna to ensure it is hot after the swim. The breakfast had a lot of lovely home made items (marmalade, liver pate, etc) and otherwise fairly standard for a good hotel. I always think it is a shame that you cannot return to the breakfast space just before closing to help eat the food that would otherwise have been thrown out. We also checked for a later check-out, which had a cost per extra hour so we decided not to do that. The staff were friendly; and booking was easy. Worth knowing that booking it online on the hotel's website, doesn't always show all the availability but a call to the reception helps.

We loved this place
A beautiful place right near all of the key attractions in Billund. Myself and my two children (9 and 7) had the most amazing trip. Everything in walking distance - even the airport although it is probably a little bit too much for young children. The hotel staff were exceptional - all so friendly, welcoming and warm. There is a lovely small hotel pool with a huge chest full of pool toys for children. Perfect for a young family. I’ve marked down for comfort unfortunately because our shower was cold and couldn’t be fixed. The hotel was fully occupied so we couldn’t be moved either. The staff were lovely about it and gave us products to use in the pool showers. However, it would have been nice to have a hot shower in our room of course. Still, highly recommended and now want to explore more of Denmark because the vibe here was so welcoming and family friendly.

Great location
The hotel is centrally located to make trips to Legoland or Lego House easy. There is not an easy way to roll luggage in the front door, at it must be carried up a set of stairs. There appeared to be a ramp which could usually be used, but it was blocked by Christmaa decorations. The staff was friendly. It was unfortunate that despite having an elevator to get to our floor, they neglected to mention there was another half set of stairs we needed to transverse to reach our room, again requiring carrying all the luggage. The room itself was large and nicely decorated. There was plenty of seating options, along with a desk and small table. The mini fridge was useful. The bed was a double, but had two separate mattresses and comforters, making cuddling difficult. The pillows were very soft and a little flat. The bathroom was a nice size but the shower was very small with a shorter hot water supply. The floor seemed heated, which was a great touch. Breakfast had a lot of options including fresh fruit, meats, cheeses, eggs, cereal, and yogurts. Free parking was also included.

It was very close to Lego house which was our destination. I had great experience there. The staff was nice and a group of people who got there before me let me check in first which was extremely nice. The parking was free. All you need is to fill your license plate in the system which the staff explained very clear. The only thing we regret was nothing having dinner there. It seemed like they had great choices that evening. So, don’t forget to check it out if you stay here.

Very high std with fabulous food!
Absolutely beautiful hotel in every way! So surprised to find such a HIGH std property at an airport. Rooms are lovely, spacious and comfortable. The restaurant was fabulous. It was like fine dining in the evening. And the range for breakfast was so fresh and very impressive for a buffet. Would definitely stay again!
