"Small room and dated decor, but friendly and helpful staff"

"Fantastic stay. Lovely room. Free parking and £10 for our dog to stay ( 2 night stay) food was lovely and we could take our dog with us. The staff were fab made a fuss over our dog and nothing was too much trouble for us or her. Opposite, there is a field that you can take your dog for a walk. Thank you for a lovely stay. We will definitely be back. "

"We stayed for 4 nights. Its a great place to see the area. Hotel owners are amazing people Staff were all helpful and pleasant.THE food was fantastic value would definitely tell everyone to eat in,hotel was a bit dated but to say it was built in the 17th century it's in good order. Hopefully we will be returning in the near future."

"The lodge itself was well fitted out with everything you could need to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Nice furniture, very clean throughout and everything worked - which is not always a guarantee!"

Well maintained in all respects, interior excellent and the addition of a stair lift, for those that may need it is a real bonus.Recommended in every respect. "A characterful converted cow shed with roof beams, but decorated in a modern way with all you need, and a free jug of milk.The bed was comfortable, and there was a wet room shower.I could not see any way to open a window, which I would have liked, and the Wifi only worked in half the room, which I mentioned to the owner.We were welcomed and again had goodbye said to us as we left, which was friendly.We prefer a separate bed room as one of us gets up very early, but it was OK for one night.A pleasant spot with a good atmosphere."
