The property accommodated our large group very nicely. Plenty of room for all of us. Beautiful scenery and very attentive owners! Thank you for a great visit.
Great house, plenty of space for our group. Enjoyed using the little hill out back for the kids to play in the snow. 15-20 min from Killington. Close to Long Trail Brewery.
Wonderful stay at this charming house! Plenty of room for two families and a grandma. Centrally located, surrounded by neautoful views and close to downtown Woodstock. Managers were great and left us a lovely note and some choice food. If youve got extended family and are in the area its a lovely stay.
If you love old houses, this property is the place for you! The house is wonderful! The upgraded bathrooms and kitchen are well done and fit perfectly with the original charm of the home. The outside space is a treasure. We didn’t get to enjoy the deck and fire pit as much as we would have liked due to weather, which was disappointing. But, a few hearty souls did venture to the beautiful river in the rain. The property sits right on Route 4. The location was perfect for us, as we attended a wedding two miles down the road, but still had easy access to great restaurants nearby and adventures in and around Woodstock. The people sleeping in the front bedrooms never heard the road noise. Highly recommend this amazing property!
Carolyn and her property were excellent. The accommodation were beautiful, very comfortable and fit our large group well. It was a short drive to the horse venue.Carolyn left us some wine, cheese, beer, and other snacks which was so thoughtful. We highly recommend. Ty for a lovely weekend getaway. We hope to return. 😊
It is a great house. It’s been updated so it’s very confortable and everything works well, but the charm’s still intact!!! The spaces are all good and it has a great flow. The backyard is beautiful and the views are stunning!!!
The host had left on the kitchen counter basics all locally produced and all kinds of Vermont goodies, cheeses and wine! She was very attentive to provide us with recommendations for local activities.
We had a wonderful stay and would come back!
My wife, our five grown children and two of their spouses/fiancee, and 1 nearly 3 year old grandchild - total of 10 - stayed for a long weekend - Thursday to Monday. House was great for such a group. Plenty of space. Bedrooms good sizes, beds comfortable. Bathrooms updated and clean. Kitchen well-equipped. Location close and convenient to Killington. All in all a great set up. All in the group said they would go back.
This beautiful home had everything we needed and more. In addition to being well-appointed, the house is huge and easily accommodated our group (we also rented the attached two-bedroom apartment which was quaint, and we appreciated that it had its own kitchen and washer/dryer). The location near Killington, Woodstock and Quechee was perfect for tourist activities. The quiet and tranquil back deck was our hang-out spot for morning coffee and pre-dinner gatherings. Property manager Carolyn was responsive and helpful. We give this property five stars and hope to return one day.
Stayed here to go to Killington. K1 base lodge is just 20 minutes away but SkyShip lodge is just 10 and has easy parking if you get there before 10. House is located directly on a major through-road, but noise machines are provided in every room and they work pretty well. Kitchen and living space is large, house is well maintained, updated and charming. Long Trail brewpub being 3 minutes away was also very nice. Bring lots of groceries with you though, the big grocers are pretty far. That said, the owner was extremely generous in how they stocked the house, including some very nice goodies for us to enjoy on our arrival. Communication was great with the owner also, although nothing went wrong so that wasn't really put to the test.
This house is just lovely! Full of sun and charm. We are a family that loves to cook and found the kitchen to have all we needed. Just a note to bring most food you need as grocery stores are quite a distance from the house. Our family group included grandparents, parents, toddlers and infants. Plenty of room for everyone to gather or find a place to be alone. Beds are comfortable and plenty of nicely updated bathrooms for everyone. Carolyn was always quick with a response to any of my questions and even delivered some salt when I let her know the walkway was icy. House is close to Killington and Pico which the skiers loved! We definitely would like to return. The only negative is the location on a quite busy street, but there are sound machines in most bedrooms. The positives outweigh this small negative by far!!
Gorgeous updated farmhouse on a picturesque lot of land with river access. Plenty of room for our family to gather and enjoy each other's company. Easy access to Woodstock and Killington. Our host was very responsive to any questions and very welcoming.
