The view is beautiful and the staff was super nice and friendly. Breakfast offers a decent variety of food. The only downside is that the walls are rather thin so if you have noisy neighbors like we did, it makes for a rather unpleasant experience.

The area around the Brinzer lake is remarkably beautiful, even by Swiss standards. This hotel is perfect base for a few days in the area.

Cute hotel, rooms could be more comfortable
The hotel was as expected and the staff were wonderful. We also enjoyed the breakfast and loved the location on the lake. Unfortunately, we were placed on the first floor with a street facing room and the noise from cars and motorcycles speeding by kept us up all night. The beds also were quite uncomfortable.

I enjoyed my stay. Was disappointed as we asked for a water view room and ended up with a back room our dining table was also at the back. I’m wondering if it was because we booked through Hotels .com instead of direct. The restaurant had a very restricted menu because of COVID so it’s hard to rate as I’m vegetarian wasn’t much choice. It was close to everything.

Nice location right on the main street near the older part of town. The hotel is comprised of two buildings/restaurants on either side of the street. We got a room on the side of the street facing the lake (gorgeous). The room was above the restaurant, but it was only open for lunch this time of year, so it was quiet by 5pm. 7 min walk from Brienz West station and 15-20 min walk from main Brienz station. Room was clean but dated. View from the room was very nice, but because it was on the lake there were many insects and very hot. A fan and hairdryer would have been appreciated.

Loved this place! Great staff, great location.
Quaint and charming bed and breakfast-type hotel right across the street from the lake! The staff is so wonderful, the rooms so adorable. Loved the skylight above my bed, the church chimes just a few blocks away. Right in the heart of town. I'd stay there again in a minute. Everything I hoped for.

A great little hotel for a few nights!
We stayed in the chalet at the back of the hotel - wonderful. Clean and quiet , the hotel staff couldn't have been more helpful. The breakfast was fine - with a good choice of food. There were many different nationalities staying making the stay even more interesting. We will return next time we are in the area.

Hotel Brienzerburli in Brienz
Used the hotel for a single night stay for business. Free parking outside is a major bonus and the restaurant serves food until late (10pm) for weary travellers. Shown to the reception by polite, English speaking staff. We had a top floor room, with a balcony over-looking the lake which was simply beautiful. The overall surroundings were very peaceful and nicely off the beaten track. I would certainly recommend this hotel, and in fact will be adding it to our usual Swiss Holiday Itinerary in the future!

Nice hotel. Cozy small but clean room. Friendly service, good breakfast. If you arrive by train and have difficulty walking make sure you get a taxi (may be difficult-Brienz is small), hotel is located at the very end of town. A good 20 min walk from train station.

Week-end à Brienz
Hôtel situé au bord de la route à deux pas du lac et jolie vue sur le lac. Chambre vieillotte qui aurait besoin d’être rénovée et la literie pas terrible. On n’a pas bien dormi et on a eu mal au dos. Bon petit déjeuner buffet.

J'ai séjourné pour la première fois dans cet hôtel super bien situé en bord de route et surtout... en bord de lac. L'endroit est magnifique. L'hôtel est très chaleureux, les repas succulents et le personnel très aimable et au top!

Sehr sauberes Zimmer, zuvorkommendes, freundliches Personal. Besonders überrascht hat mich das sehr bequeme 120cm-Bett in meinem Einzelzimmer. Sehr oft sind Einzelzimmer mit einem 90cm-Bett ausgestattet und gleichen eher einer Besenkammer...

Idealer Kurzaufenthalt
Der günstig gelegene Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge im Berner Oberland passt ideal. Sehr freundlicher Service und Sauberkeit tipptopp. Das Essen war auch sehr gut. Einzig irritiert hat - in Zeiten von Corona - das völlig offen präsentierte Frühstücksbuffet.
