The Potter's Heron - A Heartwood Inn

"We had three nights here and were pleasantly surprised, The staff were excellent and the restaurant had a relaxed and professional ambiance. Rooms were a little small but the bed was extremely comfortable. Plenty of parking. Good breakfast. Only criticism was that there was no telephone in the bedroom and we were told that guests should use their own mobile phone if they needed anything. Perhaps the hotel should note that not everyone uses a mobile phone and even if they do, there is no guarantee that the signal would be strong enough to make a call. If the guest has an emergency in the middle of the night is the hotel expecting the guest to find their phone and the appropriate external number to call for assistance! Bearing in mind recent issues at a certain hotel group, I would have considered this to be a basic safety requirement. So anyone thinking of booking here should ensure they have a mobile, fully charged, switched on and the number of the hotel saved in their contacts. Apart from this we enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend it to others."

"Beautiful hotel, lovely spa,open changing rooms only down side. The mattress was way too soft for us but that’s personal preference I guess. Breakfast was lovely and very much worth the £12 charge"

"We had a great stay. Good sized twin bedded room with nice little outside sitting area overlooking the river. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast fresh and plentiful. Parking was £5 per night which was fine as the hotel is well located an easy 10 minute walk from the cathedral and town centre."
New Forest Lodge

"It was difficult to access the room, I would have preferred a manned reception area as everything needed code to open. First the front door then the e key safe, and all instructions by phone. Maybe I’m just old fashioned but it’s nicer to talk face to face. But the apartment was great."

"Beautiful resort. Excellent food. Amazing service. Our son forgot his kindle and the incredible staff notified us and shipped it back to us in the US. Rosa was particularly helpful."

"We love our annual stay at The Riverside in Salisbury, perfectly located for a quiet stay whilst close enough for a picturesque walk into the city. Staff are always friendly and helpful, and the rooms lovely and spacious. Looking forward to our next stay in 2027."
