Nice hotel, location, quiet and peaceful.
Staff, very helpful, perhaps a couple more at times, especially at breakfast, would help them, and the guest.
Gym is well stacked with CV machines, pin machine and free weights, steam room and sauna good too, pool a little cold when you get in, but comfortable afterwards. Little things here could be refreshed, shower in pool area, button broke and only cold water, couple of lounges however, no cushions, so good enough to relax for a few minutes.
All this, and yes I will be going back.
Second time I’ve stayed here, and will keep coming back. The food is very good, rooms are clean and peaceful, and the staff are genuinely excellent.
The property is tired around the edges but efforts are being made and the staff and location more than make up for this.

Oh dear,
I'm sure this could be a very nice hotel.
Rather sad and disappointing from the bath which felt like it may break, odd taps on the sink, tired furnishings, patched.
Everything seemed thin, curtains (which didn't quite keep out the light), the handwash, the toilet paper, the bath.
The room although dated was clean, the staff were nice.
The place could be lovely.

Lovely historical hotel and I love Ramsbottom as a place to visit. We did walks up to Peel tower and went on the steam train. Fantastic places to eat too - Cocoa Tree is a delight!
The staff were very friendly throughout and went beyond basic requirements to make our stay more enjoyable and comfortable. Very friendly and free with good ideas. We really felt special and at home.

Room and bathroom were clean but could really do with an update . Bed very comfortable and we had goo nughts sleep.
Great to use as a base for exploring the area. Quiet location, with the village high street less than 5 minutes walk away.

Staff helpful.
The room was poor - electric shower, toilet seat broken, towel radiator not working, oil filled heater (assume radiator not working), decor very old with patches for repairs.
Probably the worst value for money hotel that we have ever stayed at :-(
