the end of the road yurt
Come experience living in the round, where worries and everyday stresses vanish. Located at Georgetown Lake, surrounded by recreational goodies whether it's hiking, biking, skiing downhill or x-country, fishing off shore or by boat, listening to the great grey owl or seeing the numerous species of wildlife; life is easier here. Take time to unwind and settle in at the yurt with 706 square feet of space. We left the floor plan open so you can really connect with your surroundings. The yurt has everything you need and nothing you don't with a full bathroom, kitchenette with necessary tools, a loft with 2 beds and a view that will mesmerize. On the main floor there is a full size futon to sleep 2 and a pull out loveseat couch for 1. If your party has more than 6 we have provided an air mattress for 2 more. The yurt is heated with a Jotul gas stove that can easily be set on thermostat to your comfort level and when temps rise outdoors, simply open the windows and enjoy the fresh air. Looking up at the dome on a starry night really brings you closer to nature. The yurt has plenty of outdoor space as well with a wrap-around deck accessible by an ADA ramp or through the yurt. Take a moment to sit at the firepit with your family and enjoy the crackling sounds and conversations. The "Lakehouse at Georgetown" is a short distance if you would rather have someone else do the cooking. Philipsburg and Anaconda are both approximately 15 miles either way and can offer a little slice of culture, not to mention loads of history. Discovery Ski Area is literally at our back door and boasts of 2000+ acres of downhill terrain, one of the most family friendly ski areas you'll find. There is nothing more relaxing than unplugging from your everyday routine and recharging at the End of the Road Yurt. A perfect place for a romantic getaway or bonding with the family.

The yurt was much larger on the inside than we had expected. The furnishings were comfortable, and the location was ideal. The kitchenette was functional, and Kris and Sean were ideal hosts. We stayed for a month, and are hoping we get to go back next year.
We LOVED every minute at the Yurt! It was very clean, roomy, and comfortable. Lots of extra bedding and clearly stated expectations. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
This property has everything needed for a great get away! Not only is it in a prefect location for a ski weekend at Discovery with your friends and family, but it is a cute and comfortable oasis to relax. The view of Georgetown Lake is beautiful and the fireplace and lights around the interior made it feel so cozy. We will be coming back!
Great spot, super clean and accessible. It would be a fantastic Yoga retreat. The neighborhood was good and the view was spectacular! The appointed bathroom was inspiring, using cool old reusable items. The kitchen is small, but well supplied. We even had a moose at the front door who seemed to think that it was his rental!
We enjoyed our time at the year. We were able to take the kayak out on Georgetown lake which was a nice break from the heat. We also enjoyed our coffee on the deck every morning. You’ve created a beautiful getaway. Thank you for sharing it with us.

The yurt was fine. Clean, had all the necessary kitchen and bathroom things. The beds were not the most comfortable but not terrible.

There was something so appealing about staying at this property and we are so glad we booked it. The property is magical, the attention to details, such as decor, rugs and function is second to none. We loved the fire pit, the deck, and the loft. We slept on the futon and it was very comfortable and our daughter was enamored of the loft. We would stay here again in a heart beat. 10/10.
There were three of us exploring a new area of MT that we had not been to before! The Yurt was very clean with everything that we needed. Loved having coffee on the deck wrapped up in a blanket and watching the boaters on the lake. Loved that there was enough hot water for all of us to shower, and the towels could actually wrap around your body!! Only downside was the screws coming up on the deck....wear shoes! Will certainly recommend to friends and family in the future!
The yurt was a first for us… it is simple accommodations which was what I was looking for. We had moose visitors, lovely sunsets and the boys had fun goofing around. Easy access to fishing and the candy shop in P’burg. We didn’t ski at Disco- as the snow was a little lack luster for the season, but it would be a wonderful spot for next season. Kris was very helpful and responsive to our concerns and questions.
The yurt was fantastic! We stayed in January and it was more than warm enough. Everything you need is there, and the host was great! We will be back for sure.
