"What a great place to stay! The host Jim replied instantly to all my questions. Great views, great host, great pool and hot tub. My family will remember this place forever. Thanks Jim, you have a great place and you are an even better host. I highly recommend Jim's place to anyone looking to spend time in La Fortuna. Very close to Sky adventures with ziplining and a nice restaurant with great views. The wildlife in the backyard was great along with fabulous views from every room in the house."

Hummingbird House - Amazing Arenal Volcano and Lake Views

"Myself and my two teenagers stayed three nights during the green season at Hummingbird. We rented the upstairs and downstairs and we had plenty of space. The place was very clean, the kitchen is stocked with everything you need, the linens are comfortable, and the rooftop is wonderful. This was our first trip to CR and this was our first stop on our vacation. It was a great start of a wonderful vacation. I highly recommend staying here. Communication with the owner was great and Erica, who lives in the neighborhood and is your onsite person, was responsive and nice. We were able to use the washer and dryer, which was a nice bonus.We were lucky to have one of the three days where there was no rain or clouds and the views were spectacular. The Arenal Volcano and the lake are front and center with this property. The kids and I spent that third day not doing anything but hanging out, making food, and enjoying the view. There are good restaurants within walking distance, the neighborhood is residents and we saw very few tourists. Erica's restaurant recommendations were spot on."

"We had an amazing time at Nita and Marty’s place. They were so accommodating to our scheduling mishaps, helped arrange outings, and assisted us in navigating finding a doctor on a Sunday. The property was so comfortable, with lovely creative touches in the decorating. Our sons loved splashing in the pool, visiting with he friendly dogs, and exploring the tail down to the creek. We loved our stay!"

"The elevated property is gorgeous with spectacular views of the lake and volcano. We were there end of June and the landscape was green, flowering and lush with a nice pool and old stone and wood architectural structures. We stayed in 2 bedroom house which is adorable and had all the amenities. There is also a larger house on property to rent. The owners and adorable dog live on property and were so nice & hospitable. We will be back. "

"Encantada was everything we were looking for when we came to Costa Rica! We loved sitting on the expansive deck listening to the monkeys, exotic birds, and especially the rain! Visiting during the rainy season gave us a 1st hand rain forest experience! The location was very close to zip lining, hanging bridges, and if we wanted to, several hot springs were right down the road. Marty and Nita were very gracious and helpful with sharing their knowledge of the area. And the breakfasts couldn’t be beat! So delicious, home cooked, and many choices- not at all like the continental breakfast often served at hotels. The property is beautiful and we loved the gardens too. Highly recommend this unique accommodation!"

"This place was perfect for our visit to the area. We wanted to spend time around the volcano and spend a day at Los Logos Resort and this property was close to both. We enjoyed sitting on the patio watching the chickens and taking in the incredible view of the volcano. Would definitely recommend this place."

"Clean and safe location. Located near all of the tourist activities but quite far from town and would require a vehicle. Host was wonderful to communicate with, hot water stopped working and it was fixed within minutes by staff. Overall excellent stay I would book again."
