"Overall I really enjoyed my stay. The heater didn’t seem to work in room although I didn’t really have an absolute need for it. Room was VERY clean! Even though older it was clean in every corner. Only room for improvement was in the desk people. While kind enough, they did not take a personal interest in my questioning the heat in the evening. Just said “yeah, I would just turn it to that symbol “. Which I was questioning the meaning of the symbols. The best response from them would have been, “we’ll send someone up to help you”. "

"Our stay was beautiful! The hotel is stunning, with a friendly and attentive staff, eager to make your stay a happy one. The buffet breakfast with omelette and waffle station was fabulous. The hotel is an historical building so the rooms and bathrooms maintain the original footprint and size, which prohibited any enlargement of the very small bathroom. But given all the other perks La Playa offers we survived the small space and would definitely return. "

"The house was perfect for our stay in Carmel. The bunk beds were great for the kids and it was very spacious. It was walking distance to the mission and town and the beach and was centrally located to everything we needed. The only tricky part was finding it since we came in the night but once we did we had a great time. The kitchen was tight but it had everything we needed. The stars were wonderful in the back and out front at night and it was very quiet. It was a clean and the bathroooms were updted. Overall great location. "
