Quaint facility nice and private. One thing was unusual is I was contacted by staff person Skip asking if I knew how Venetian blind was unable to be opened. We never tried to open it during our stay. I was asked if a child was jumping on the bed near blind. There were 3 adults in our party and my 90 year old mother in law slept on that bed. Otherwise we enjoyed Carrabelle and our stay.

It was like being in a creepy movie which was perfect for me. Check in instructions were in the mail box outside the front door. Not a single person was in sight during my entire stay. That was nice. The room was clean and comfortable. The old hotel was cute and the owners had obviously spent a lot of time making it nice. My stay was comfortable and enjoyable. I would book the hotel again.

It was unique, a little too cluttered for my liking, which makes it seem not as clean. The bed was comfortable. It was self check in, so we never saw anyone, which wasn’t all bad. The process was easy.

Very nice quiet 2 story historic house converted into a hotel. Very clean. Within walking distance to several restaurants. One of the nicest hotel experiences my wife and I have had.

My wife and I usually stay at Hampton Inn across USA, because it’s a known business model with properties having comfortable rooms with great free breakfast. This boutique property, The Old Carrabelle Hotel, measures upto that standard of cleanliness. On top of it, the rooms are cozy, but a bit small though. The bathrooms are actually big and the shower was a delight. More importantly, we could flip a switch and make coffee and tea in the hallway, and relax in a long beautiful front balcony that extends pretty much around the house. That sure beats any Hampton Inn property. This property is several decades old and it’s a big task to maintain it to function that well. Our compliments to the owners. Breakfast was coupon based, and we could order anything we wanted, discounted to $7 each, in a two minute walkable pastry and sandwich shop. We could go anytime of the day with the coupons ! To be fair to Hampton Inn properties, we did miss the beautiful lounges and front end hallways they have. But why not enjoy a little piece of heaven by giving those things up?
