"The food at the restaurant was terrible. I ordered a bottle of wine and they sent another that was 3 times the price without telling me. They threw us out because they said they had to set up for breakfast while they had other tables still sitting. We were still drinking our wine. The only person that was nice at this place was the person at reception. "

"An interesting hotel with 70s-80s decore. A feeling of the past however with a view to the future with serious commitment to green credentials. A slow food restaurant extends the good feeling of solar power, and recycled papers in the bathrooms and dining rooms. "Claudio the owner was very friendly and accommodating. The entire staff made us feel warm and welcome. The property was beautifully situated in the Tuscan hills. We had two dinners at their restaurant. Both were exceptionally delicious. We were fortunate to be there during grape harvesting and to also enjoy some of the best Chianti wine I have ever tasted. I would highly recommend Agriturismo Streda to anyone wanting to tour Tuscany!"

"We are from Scotland and stayed here a week from 8th November. Excellent hotel. Lovely facilities and fantastic quality. Lovely room ( although we would have preferred to be in the main building than the tower), extremely comfortable bed and all facilities first class. The hotel is excellently positioned for exploring Lucca and reaching the train station to wider explore Tuscany.Staff were all exceptional - breakfast ladies deserve a special mention, they were all lovely and very efficient -as do all the reception staff who likewise were very helpful and always willing and available to assist. We were very impressed. A special mention to Greta on reception. Not only was she first class in dealing with any requirements we had- such as booking a private transfer to the airport- but she was always smiling and cheery and nothing was ever a problem. Compliments to everyone. We hope to be back and will highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lucca. Well done and thank you Brian and Joyce "
