"I was content with my stay. To learn the downtown area of Dublin as a first visit it was handy. The staff were great and helpful. I could do laundry. It was convenient for the bus tours I took and lots of shops around for snacks. Pubs were small and crowded in that area. But I had only popped in on a match day. Occasionally noisy but overall the mattress was comfortable. USB ports and reading light in my pod. A bit rougher area but I’m 60 and a solo traveller "

"This was a good choice for a 1 night stay. If staying several nights in Dublin, I would probably go elsewhere. The location was very good: a short walk to the Liffey River and touristy section of Dublin. The immediate Area of LIVStudent Dublin was less touristy and had some good pubs (Cobblestones has good live music, Walsh's Pub had great atmosphere, bartenders, and friendly locals) and restaurants (Lavanda, Wuff). "The hostel is located at the center of the city. Close to everything. Bus stop is just in front of the front-door, and there is a supermarket next to the hostel. The only disadvantage for me is the noise. The bathroom is in the room, so when people using the toilet or taking the shower, it’s quite loud. Overall, it’s good place and price for shot staying."

We weren't told where to have breakfast and we got lost trying to find it, then we didn't get told what we could eat in terms of our coupons and we didn't get to eat the following two days after paying for it. I enjoyed my stay. 20 min walk to central Dublin and it's a nice easy flat walk. The surrounding area seemed safe and quiet. There were some unusual bumps at night! "You get what you pay for. It was the least expensive of the hotel options in Ireland. Not that close to the attractions, but public transportation is easily accessible. The room gives you the basics. No tv, coffee maker or hair dryer. There is a coffee shop and a convenient store on the ground floor. There is a shared kitchen on every floor. It suit our needs since we were out most of the time."

"It's very central location, though sketchy enough late at night.. like any major city Dublin despite its relaxed vibe has a drug problem and to be aware of your soroundings is important.. Take common sense care and you should enjoy your visit. We were able to check in very early which was incredibly convenient. The room was a bit small but that wasn't surprising given the small footprint of the hotel and being in the city. "
