A Story Steeped in Romance & History.
Built in the late 1800s by Scottish settler and successful timber merchant Andrew Campbell, this home carries a tale as poignant as it is romantic. Inspired by his deep love for the daughter of celebrated poet Robert Burns, Campbell constructed this exquisite residence as a grand gesture. Tragically, she passed away only two years after arriving in Castlemaine, leaving Campbell to live out his days in the mansion they were meant to share.
Today, Campbell House stands as a testament to love, craftsmanship, and the rich history of central Victoria – and offers you the chance to be part of its living story.
