Hahei Hotel Guide - Cathedral Cove hotels in Hahei, New Zealand.

"We arrived at Hahei in the middle of a horrendous storm. Checkin was straight forward as was finding our garden view appartment. The accomodation was all a little dated, but none the less was well equiped, had everything you need, was clean and comfortable. We ate and drank at the Deck (on site food place/bar) for the 2 evenings we were there. The pizzas (gluten free bases available) and fish n chips we ate were great. The site is right on a fantastic beach and there are some good walks to explore. The weather unfortunately did impact our short stay as some roads were shut due to flooding. Thankfully, floods resinded and normal travel resumed intime for us to move onto our next destination."

"A superb property with great views over ocean from deck and front rooms. Modern kitchen and bathrooms all to a high standard. Walk to local shops and bars is downhill so uphill on way home. It was a steady plod home for us but very doable. Highlight of our stay was early morning walk to Cathedral Cove straight from the house. About 10mins up the road to the start of the walking track. "

"The 2 bedroom was charming and rustic. It was a very convenient location. You can get to cathedral cove and beaches on foot which made it a pleasure. The local shopping center and restaurants were within minutes also on foot. The area shuts down by 8pm. Make your dining arrangements at Church Bistro ahead of time as they get booked quickly but worth it."

"Communication was great. The property was well set up, with stunning views. We loved dining on the deck. Beds were comfy. Kitchen is well set up with everything you need. It's an easy walk to the Cathedral cove track from the house.The gas bottle for the bbq was empty so Rebecca came and swapped it over for us with a new one.The hot tap in the toilet was dripping the first night (turn it off super hard and don't use it!) So the water pump kept switching on and off overnight and eas a bit noisy for the rooms closest to it. And if anyone uses water in the house, the shower stops getting water (as in no water at all if using the washing machine), so manage timing!In all, it was a fantastic holiday and I'd recommend staying here! Thanks Rebecca for looking after our stay:)"

"We loved our stay at this Hahei bach — it’s perfectly located just a short stroll to the beach, with fantastic views and a real sense of privacy. The place was very comfortable, and the deck and outdoor areas were a highlight — ideal for relaxing and taking it all in.A special mention to Tina, who was an excellent host: communication was great, and she was genuinely helpful throughout. We’d happily stay again."
