"Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Lounge area was lovely and if it had soft music playing would have been even better. This hotel is not for people who have difficulty with slopes or steps as it’s on the top of a hill and a fair walk from anything. The hotel rooms (we had a sea view room) are tired and need painting and mould and mildew spraying in the bathroom. The bed was comfy and the bedding and towels clean and soft. The clientele are from the Starwars bar and therefore were very noisy at 2am when they came in. We won’t be staying here again it was not for us, we prefer the South Bay and I recommend anyone booking Scarborough stays in the South Bay especially on The Espanade above The Spa. We’ve been coming to Scarborough for 35 years so know it well."

"Lovely room with a spectacular view. Food good tho’ wine a little pricey - you’re a bit of a captive audience up there. Parking fine. Nice walking nearby, with the seal colony a special treat (not to close tho, eh?) Nice staff. Clean and shiny inside. "

Excellent location in the town for train station, bus stops, high street shopping and not too far from both beaches and the Castle. My room was spacious, clean and quiet with all the facilities you would expect at this price point."
