Macdonald New Blossoms Hotel, Chester

Macdonald New Blossoms Hotel, Chester

8/10 Good
"The hotel was clean and lovely . We arrived on bank holiday Sunday . The reception staff looked like they didn’t want to be there . The bar and restaurant was closed. They said breakfast was at 7am … it didn’t open till after 8am , the reviews say it was gluten free and vegan friendly , but there was no milk alternative at breakfast. Shame as the hotel is on an excellent location for the city."

Oddfellows Chester Hotel and Apartments

10/10 Excellent
"This is very unique quirky hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We had Sunday roast and breakfast and both were very good. The restaurant is very relaxed and informal and they were knowledgeable about coeliac which was very reassuring. There were 7 ladies in our party and we all said we would definitely stay there again. It is in a great location , within walking distance to centre. Something to be mindful of is that it is a cashless hotel."

Holiday Inn Chester - South by IHG

Holiday Inn Chester - South by IHG

10/10 Excellent
"Staff so accommodating and friendly, the main guy in the restaurant clearly puts alot of effort into his job, but equally all staff were great! Perfect location within 10 mins of main city centre. Hadn't expected the breakfast and restaurant food to be as good as it was and the pool and sauna were an added bonus too. Very pleased overall and glad we booked, lovely long weekend in a fantastic city!"

The Queen at Chester Hotel - Handwritten Collection

The Queen at Chester Hotel - Handwritten Collection

10/10 Excellent
"Lovely luxurious hotel with lots of beautiful areas to sit in. Gorgeous outside area of the suns out. Straight opposite the railway station. We had breakfast at the pub on the opposite corner which worked out cheaper. Only downside is the parking but there was plenty of spaces at the front of the hotel where you can park free for 20 minutes and pop in the hotel with cases. There is a sign at reception to scan the QR code and put in the location and pay for the parking online. The car park is through the archway and cost is £17 for 24 hours on a Sunday. The walk into town is about 15 minutes but if you come out of the hotel and go left and then left again you will come to the canal which is nice to walk alongside into town. Chester is beautiful and well worth the visit."
