"When we arrived we saw immediately that the sofabed in the lounge was broken and could not be used to sit or sleep on, this was disappointing as it meant there were not enough beds for us all. We contacted the owner and the next day a chap arrived with an airbed. We requested that the sofa be replaced but that did not happen. "We did not have breakfast but we did dine in the Knights Restaurant where the food, decor and service were impeccable! Our room was perfect, there was minimal general wear and tear but it was spotless and probably the comfiest bed/pillows I have ever slept on! Despite the bitterly cold temperature outside, all indoor areas, including the bedrooms were warm and cosy. All staff in all areas were fantastic, 10/10 customer service. Cocktails were delicious and being cosy round the fire in the library bar was the perfect aesthetic, as is the rest of the castle! A perfect nights stay for me and my boyfriend after having a busy few weeks working over Christmas *****"
