About this property

Family Home on Lake Bridgeport: Pets Welcome!

  • Dockside Dining Area | BBQ Ready | 5 Mi to North Side Marina

The hush of lapping water, the flick of a cast line, the churn of a boat on Lake Bridgeport — these are the sounds of lakeside living, and they're all yours at this Chico vacation rental. This 2-bedroom, 1-bath home makes fishing, boating, and swimming easy, with lake access and a private dock steps from the yard. Back on land, unwind with a book, play a game, or relax on the screened porch — no bugs, just views.

Enjoy a fully stocked kitchen, free WiFi, smart TV, and a screened‑in sleeping porch with additional beds. The backyard dock is ideal for swimming, fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and tying up your boat. Anglers love staying here for tournaments thanks to the easy on‑the‑water launch point.

Kids will enjoy the outdoor playground, toys, and games, while adults relax on the porch and waterfront seating with beautiful lake views and abundant wildlife. Grill out, host a fish fry, or prepare a crawfish boil.
This lake house is located in a quiet, scenic area just minutes from Chico and is 12 miles closer than the nearest hotel—perfect for visiting family. Whether you're here for fishing, boating, or simply relaxing, the Watson House offers a peaceful, comfortable, and family‑friendly lakeside retreat.

Note: Lake Bridgeport water levels vary. As of January 1, 2026, levels are average and still allow swimming and boating. Dock access for fishing is available, and public boat ramps are nearby.

This is truly a perfect place for a quiet get-away. We loved sitting in the swing and listening to the birds. It is off the beaten path of the main lake which is a big plus for us. We love to fish. Fishing and sea-doos, wake board boats and loud music don't match. So it was perfect for us! Having the boat-dock handy was a bonus as well. The cabin had everything you would need. It was spotless and the yard was beautiful. The hosts were right there with anything we needed or questions we had. We will be back.

Of all the properties we have stayed at, this property has all the conveniences that we were looking for in a lake house rental. We sure appreciated the cleanliness of the linens. Everything was fresh and clean like a five star hotel. The playground is there for the kids or grandkids to enjoy and comfortable for the parents to relax and take in the cove view and comings and going from the boat-house. The hosts were the best. Caught fish too! We highly recommend this property and will be back.
