Very accommodating. We used the property to house some workers while doing a tempos project in the area. It was great having a homey place to come to after work. Property owner was very responsive to all our communications.
Enjoyed our stay in this mountain home. Appreciated that it was pet friendly. The kitchen was a bit dated and several cupboards didn’t close but it was well stocked.
I stayed here with three friends for a relaxing weekend away from SF. The property was well cared for and made for a very comfortable and restorative weekend. We appreciated the thoughtful details in the home!
Our family, six adults, stayed for two nights, it was a very good experience.
The house conveniently sits on a quiet street, just a few minutes from grocery store, restaurants. You can reach the hiking trails from the back yard, very nice.
The place is very clean, owner was very responsive, always available when needed.
We really enjoyed out staying!
Our group had a great stay at this mountain home. The beds were very comfortable, the deck was large and had a great view and the tasteful living room was ample to sit around and visit. On top of it all, the price was reasonable, something increasingly rare these days. I hope to be back again, for the great bed and the tranquility.
A beautiful & peaceful place! View is great. Saw some deer & wild turkeys roaming around. Super-quiet too. Did some grilling-but had to change out propane tanks couple of times, as they were low & had a time using the starter button. But did manually.
Would certainly recommend this lovely place!

Great place
We were impressed all around with this property. We stayed here after a day in Napa, and though the drive up showed the devastation of the 2015 fire, the property itself was beautiful, peaceful, and green. We especially appreciated how dark the bedrooms stayed since we don't get to sleep in much as parents.
Despite the atmospheric river deluge we spent a peaceful and relaxing 3 nights at Starview Lodge. The cosy log fire was enjoyed by us all as we watched the rain beat down!

Friends gathering
We enjoyed our stay on Cobb Mt. We were visiting to attend a friends gathering at a house close by. We did have some issues with the house, but the owner was very responsive and understanding. The house is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood on Cobb Mt. The kitchen definitely needs some upgrading, but the living area was comfortable. We spent a fair amount of time on the outdoor deck.
Situated right next to a forest area, had lots of deer and even a wild turkey right outside our window. Beautiful fall foliage and crisp clean air. The only thing to be mindful of is a steep driveway for parking. Near Clear Lake and state park and fun winding country roads.
It's a pleasant mountain cabin. Could use some modernization, especially in the kitchen. No dishwasher (not a surprise) and cupboards don't close, drawers fall out, etc. The driveway is very steep and rugged, but we had a Suburban and it did fine.
Great place in a wonderfully quiet setting. Really feels like home with a big deck including a gas fire pit, BBQ, great seating and a hammock. Kitchen includes coffee machine and espresso machine and all other appliances. We even found first aid stuff in the bathroom when we had a little mishap. Also, super kid friendly with lots of toys in a toy chest and books. We were in town to celebrate 2 family birthdays and this was the perfect place for entertaining and activities for all ages.
We were in the area for some open course trail running segments in the nearby mountainous parks. This cabin was a perfect home base to collapse after long days of running. The cabin is very well appointed, and we found everything we needed for preparing meals and just relaxing. The only neighbors we saw during our stay were 5 deer. Looking forward to returning in the future.
So many deer surrounding the house, it was amazing! Upstairs of the house (master bedroom and living room) is pretty nice, downstairs could use some updates. Driveway is steep and could definitely use repaving . Overall, minus the rain, we had a great time. The house was incredibly clean which I appreciate! It was fun being in the forest and enjoying the deer watching.
We had such a wonderful stay in this adorable mountain cabin. It was my family of 5, mother-in-law and parents, and we all fit so comfortably. It’s fantastic that we could all stay downstairs and my parents had the upstairs bedroom, which gave them privacy and a little peace. The kids loved the bunk beds! We all enjoyed the deck so much. We sat by the firepit sipping wine at night after a day spent with family. The wild life was also fantastic with the wild turkeys and deer. Our kids loved it. The store and yummy pizza place are very close by. We can’t wait to return for another visit. My brother lives in the area, so we will definitely be back!
The house was as described., very nice living/kitchen/dining room.. When we arrived there was about 18” of snow on the deck and in the driveway but couldn’t find a shovel so borrowed one from the neighbor. Enjoyed the house and fireplace through a very cold and rainy weekend. The drive up is a bit motion sickness stimulating though. All in all I recommend it. The deck would be great in better weather. Liked to watch the deer wandering about.
Never received checkin info and was ghosted by the property manager. Spent many hours trying to find alternative accommodations. Had an immobile parent and kids with me; none of whom travel much. It was a nightmare.
This spot in Cobb was so quiet and felt relaxingly remote, but is just 2 hours from Oakland. The house is a simple and comfortable 2-floor lodge perched on a hill. The deck looks back over the road and neighborhood toward the mountain. This spot is close to great day hiking and a convenient well-stocked grocery store. The bedding is very comfortable and clean. The deck is gorgeous and if it wasn’t so cold, we’d have been out there for most of our stay.
The kitchen was not quite as advertised but is well-stocked and had everything we needed so no complaints. There is no dishwasher. BYO shampoo & soap. The towels are in need of replacing—they’re worn thin and had holes.
A great spot and a restful retreat.

Fantastic Couples Getaway
My wife and I visited this home with another younger couple, no children. Upon arrival the house was very clean and we quickly realized that we brought more than we had to! The kitchen is well stocked with all the tools you would need. On the main floor is the master bedroom with bathroom that has a large shower and tub, the master bed was comfy after a long day. The spiral staircase to the lower floor was a neat touch, we all thought the stairs were wider than typical spiral staircases, which may help some families.
Immediately after you enter the front door your eyes are drawn to the large doors leading out to the deck, with all the windows you get plenty of natural light. We spent many hours on the deck playing various games that we brought, then when it got chilly we had some big comfy couches to watch TV. We also found ourselves sitting/standing around the island in the kitchen, it was a nice place to gather around during meal times. You're definitely up against a national forest, each morning we would see deer and black tailed jackrabbits that have enormous ears!
Thank you to David and his family for the great stay!
