Stunning villa with fab heated pool. The villa had everything that you could possibly want and more. Very comfortable bed and furniture. Outside furniture was also very comfortable with lovely scenic views. Would definalty recommend and return.

We had a fabulous holiday at Trefor’s villa. Extremely clean and spacious. Very big pool with lots of outdoor toys/inflatables available. Abundance of beach, pool and bathroom towels. Lots of space both inside and out. Would highly recommend. Communication with Trefor was excellent throughout.

Amazing Villa
The villa is superb. Its an idyllic location hidden away on the outskirts of Coin, close enough to walk into town but far enough to be away from it all. The pool is divine and the kids played in it constantly. The area is not very touristy so it feels like real Spain but you can access touristy areas easily within reach. We went to Mijas, Puerto Benas and to a few local beaches. But we returned happily to the villa for some peace and quiet and hardly left the place. The villa has everything you could possibly need. Every boardgame the kids would ever want to play and lots of stuff for the pool. There are loads of books too. There are more beach/bathroom towels than I have ever seen in my life! We will be back for sure. It took us a while with Covid to actually get here but it was worth the wait. Communication is easy and quick with Trefor - very helpful. We made very happy memories thank you.

Great location, host & Villa
We're just back after spending 10 days here, nowhere near enough! We will definitely be back hopefully in the near future. Everything about the place and the whole experience was spot on, couldn't fault the villa, its location or the host. Communication with Trefor has been good throughout our stay and before with car hire advice etc. It's a 10 from us!

Extremely Pleasant Stay
We have rebooked already which should say it all! Trefor was great at commuincating with us and everything was very clean and tidy when we arrived. There had been some storms and a lot of effort had gone into ensuring everything was ready for us. The location itself is fantastic and shops are a short car journey away. We only ventured to the beach once and as we were prefectly comfortable with the pool and the large open space. We have a 2 and 4 year old and they were happy to be in and out of the pool all day. It's one of those places you hesitate to recommend too much in case you can never get a booking again!

Exceptional villa with beautiful views and pool
We had an amazing family holiday at Villa Madrid. The villa is located in an elevated position allowing for beautiful panoramic views across Coin and the mountains, you can enjoy both the sunrise and sunset from the garden. All the comments written previously about the property are absolutely true - communication with Trefor was excellent and he is very genuine in his approach; the property is spotless and there is everything you could ever need to make for a stress-free holiday (the welcome pack is much appreciated after a late arrival too); the pool is incredible, very large and warm and kept the child occupied all day! On this occasion we weren't able to explore the local area but would love to return and try some of the local hiking trails. Although the villa feels really private you are very close to amenities such as big supermarkets and the drive to Malaga airport is very easy. This property is a real gem and we genuinely hope to return soon.

Wonderful villa
This villa has the wow factor the moment you arrive. Beautiful high ceilings make the property feel spacious, the outside area is perfect for relaxing. Plenty of dining and seating areas for the whole family, and gates to keep the pool area safe with smaller children. Communication was fantastic throughout, making for an absolutely fantastic stay. Would love to stay here again!!

A perfect getaway
I’d honestly move here if I could. The property is lovely, the photos don’t do it justice. The heated pool is magic especially out of season when things are a little cooler. We really appreciate the thoughtful touches like an abundance of towels, pool toys, fully stocked kitchen. This was our second visit and I doubt it will be our last. Thanks to the lovely hosts for sharing their beautiful home with us.

Very well equipped, well-maintained villa
Everything about this villa far outweighed our expectations - and that's saying something because we have rented villas in many different locations. The only thing we needed to add to make our vacation wonderful was food - and you even started us off with a nice welcome basket. We also were very happy to see the selection of condiments, tea, coffee, etc that was there. I think it is safe to say that this villa had the best equipped kitchen we've experienced - even had paper towels, and cling wrap and lots of storage containers. We only had to buy our main food supplies. A welcome change. We found everything we needed (thanks also for the clear instructions posted around the villa). We could also tell that cleanliness and attention to detail were important to the owners. We loved the layout, the amenities, the pool, the many outside sitting areas and chairs, the amount of outside space, the privacy of the outdoor spaces and the relatively short distances to visit many interesting places. We found that the photos did not do the interior furnishings and layout justice. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Finally, the owner Trefor was very helpful and responsive to any questions we had.

Secluded and peaceful villa with stunning views
Wow! We've just enjoyed a fantastic family holiday at Villa Madrid. The setting and views are spectacular, and the wonderful heated pool and villa were perfect for our family's needs. It was our first time abroad with our special needs teenage daughter and we couldn't have chosen a better place. The sun shone, the cockerels crowed (but not that loudly), the wine flowed, the fridge dispensed ice(!), and we all had a thoroughly lovely and relaxing time. We've never met the owner Trefor, but feel like we know him. He responded quickly to all our questions via email and was incredibly helpful. The villa is very well-equipped (I've never seen so many towels) and it's a real home from home. We loved exploring Coin, the nearest town. It feels like you're getting to know the 'real Spain' as it's not touristy and is off the beaten track. We did go to the beach at Cala Mijas one day, but couldn't wait to get back to Villa Madrid, our haven in the hills.

An excellent villa
We were absolutely blown away by this Villa. If there was 7 stars that’s the rating that we would give this villa. It was absolutely amazing. Beautifully decorated with lovely furnishings throughout. Spotlessly clean and full of everything that you could possibly want from a wii and tv in the 3rd bedroom to games, books, dvds, amazon prime on the lounge tv. Ice maker and cold water plumbed into the fridge. Everything that you could possibly need in the kitchen. A pool with every inflatable that you would ever need and lovely outside furniture and a large bbq. We had a fantastic holiday and can’t wait to visit again. Trefor was always st the end of the phone for any problems or queries. Get booking now and you will not be disappointed.

Glorious Property
This is a stunning villa, with everything possible to ensure a wonderful holiday. A brilliant location to explore the area, or just relax by the beautiful pool. Coin is a lovely town with plenty of shops and restaurants. The villa is like a home from home with all that you need - and then some! We have never stayed in anywhere so well equipped before, and the welcome pack is a really lovely touch. One of the many highlights is sitting on the comfy outdoor sofa watching the sunrise over the town and the mountains. The views are spectacular at anytime of day but this is just a little bit magical.

Absolutely Fabulous
This is a just a beautiful Villa with stunning views. We were a family of 5 and found the Villa so very comfortable, spacious and so easy to live in. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. There is a good solid barbecue outside and the pool is a good size to have a serious swim or just have fun in. There are restaurants and bars within walking distance (about 20 minute walk) and the city of Malaga is only half an hour away in the car. We really had a fantastic week.

This Villa is pure Perfection. We can not fault this place.
Villa Madrid is a home away from home. We have returned to this place for years and it is perfect. Hidden in the beautiful hills with the most amazing vista both day and night. The owners have thought of everything. We love this place.

SIMPLY AMAZING
The villa far exceeded our expectations, the location and views are stunning. The best villa package we have ever experienced. The large heated pool was fantastic and was complimented with a range of outside games. The villa had loads of seating area's which we took full advantage of depending on the time of day. The range of crockery/utensils/ice making fridge were superb and made our holiday really enjoyable. The host kept us up to date with anything we needed to know which was great. We can recommend a taxi ride into Coin as the local taxi driver Javier gives you a guided tour of the town for a whole 6 euro's.(contact details supplied at villa). Lots of bars/restaurants available in Coin ( most closed on Monday) and only 25 mins from the beautiful town of Mijas. We can highly recommend this Villa as we found it perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of the best villas we have ever stayed in.
This is a truly exceptional villa. Great location with lovely views from it's elevated position above the surrounding countryside. Very quiet area with large grounds but close enough to Coin for restaurants and supermarkets. Although it is walkable to Coin a car is essential. Probably the best equipped villa we have ever stayed in. Nothing has been missed out. Very clean and comfortable throughout. The outside area is great with several tables, plenty of seats and loungers and a huge BBQ. The pool is large and the fact it is heated is a real treat for a late October trip. Well located for trips into the mountains but the beach is still only 20-30mins away. We also did a day trip to Gibraltar. Trefor has been a fantastic host. Loads of useful information and any queries were answered very promptly. All in all a great villa in a stunning location with large grounds, a heated pool and a great host.

A fantastic fortnight in a fantastic villa.
We have stayed in many villas in Spain, Portugal and France but this property is really exceptional. The level of equipment and the quality of the facilities is outstanding. The bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen are luxurious while the heated pool is a rare delight. When we stayed there the area was extremely quiet and relaxing. With a hire car the villa is perfectly situated for days on the beach or for excursions into the mountains. Highly recommended.

Great villa, plenty of privacy
This is probably the best villa we've rented in Andalucia. It's in a secluded place high up above surrounding properties, giving great views and plenty of privacy. The villa is exceptionally well equipped, you will want for nothing here, and the little touches are the thing that makes it special. A perfect holiday!

One of the best holidays we've ever had!
The villa was absolutely amazing and so incredibly well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Everything you could possibly want and more is provided in the villa so much so that it feels like a home away from home. Every detail was thought of a few examples are: separate towels for the rooms, pool and to take to the beach are all provided. They have all the pool toys and games you could possibly imagine plus a DVD cupboard filled to the brim with family films. You could easily just enjoy the villa and pool without going out but Coin is a lovely little town with nice restaurants to have tapas and drinks. The supermarkets are also only 10 minutes drive from the property so you can stock up on fresh food and great wine! Various beaches are also close, we went to Fuengirola which was 45 minutes away as it s a nice quiet beach and the baby could nap on the way! But you can easily find beaches within 15 minutes drive. The restaurant at the bottom of the hill is good with a great menu of the day for €9. You definitely need a car to get about especially as the hill up to the villa is extremely steep! The drive from the airport is nice and easy, even in the dark. Trefor is a great host and was very helpful in the run up to the holiday. We had such a great time we will definitely be returning next year.

Superb villa in quiet setting
This is a great villa in a quiet setting but not too far from Coin and the motorway which makes it easy to access. The facilities are superb, one of the best villa's that we have stayed in. Every detail is thought through and you lack for nothing. The kids loved the nice large pool and spent happy hours playing with the ample pool toys available. Plenty of outside space meant that we ate most meals on the terrace - we had great weather in April so were lucky as well. Beds were incredibly comfortable and we all slept very well. There are supermarkets in Coin for groceries and this is around 5-10 minutes by car. A car is essential as the villa is out of town, but Coin is a great location to start touring the beautiful Andalusian countryside. The views are superb and a pleasure to wake up to. We would recommend this villa to anyone who likes a quiet location but within easy access to main motorways, the coast and the rest of Andalusia.

Beautiful villa in an idyllic location, & very helpful owners.
My husband & 4 children have just spent 2 weeks in this beautiful villa. We have stayed in many villas and this one really is exceptional, fantastically equipped with everything you could possibly need. So nice not to have to take towels! The kitchen had everything you would expect and more. Beautifully clean upon arrival and as well as the welcome pack Trefor had arranged a "shop" to be done for us as we were late arriving. Trefor the owner could not have been more helpful from the booking process through to any queries I had. The pool was cleaned regularly and the whole outside area really is quite stunning. Plenty of dining space, shade, sun terraces. Everything you need for a relaxing break. I would highly recommend.

Die Alleinlage auf einem Hügel mit weitem Blick in die Landschaft ist ideal, um die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Besonders gefallen haben uns der herrliche Pool, die große, schöne Terrasse und die sehr gut ausgestattete Küche. Alle Räume im Haus haben sehr hohe Decken, die einem ein großzügiges Raumgefühl geben. Es gibt eine riesige Auswahl an Brettspielen und unendlich viele Handtücher. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und Trefor war bei jeder Frage sofort ansprechbar und hilfsbereit.

We had an amazing holiday in the beautiful Villa Madrid. It felt like we came home. The kids couldn’t stay out of the amazing pool. Everything was provided in the house and more. The breakfast basket was a nice surprise to come home to. Trefor was always super helpful and answered our questions really quickly. We will definitely be booking this villa again!

Fantastisch huis op geweldige locatie.
Dit is een heerlijk huis om vakantie te vieren. Geweldige locatie, briljant uitzicht en een groot zwembad helemaal voor jezelf. Het huis heeft alles wat je nodig hebt en aan alles is gedacht. Leuke plaatjes in de buurt waar je heerlijk kan eten. Ook goede wandel mogelijkheden. De host is prima, pro actief en wil graag weten hoe hij je vakantie nog beter kan maken. We komen zeker nog een keer terug!

Great house in a beautiful location.
We spent two great weeks in the wonderful house. Easy to find with the clear directions Trefor sent us, also easy key collection. The house had everything we could have wished for and was clean. A very well equipped kitchen (dishwasher, oven, microwave, ice dispenser etc). Great pool, the area can be closed of by a fence so safe with small children. Garden is nice and because of the large grounds around the house on the hill it is really calm and secluded. All the facilities for our 1,5 year old child were in place and there were many toys. A small problem with the airconditioning was fixed within a day after quick response to our mail by Trefor. Car is more or less required, but the Town of Coín is close to the house (2.5km) and taxis are available. All in all we had a lovely vacation and would love to have stayed longer. Well deserved 5 stars! Thank you Trefor!

Amazing villa with a great pool
It was a very relaxing and beautiful time. The Location is on a little hill, so some wind is cooling. The pool is large. You can really swim. Nice refrigerator with automatic ice generator... We enjoyed to relax and to visit the great locations Svilla, Cordoba, Granada and Mallaga as well as the beaches 1/2 car drive. High recommendation
