"Beautiful cottage in a perfect location for long walks and exploring what Devon has to offer. It was lovely to slow down from life a little and enjoy the comforts of the cottage. Close to all needed amenities and an easy drive to local landmarks such as Exmouth, Torquay and, if you brave the narrow roads, the spectacular views from Hurlstone Point.Excellent hosts who made us feel very welcomed. We will be back!"

"The staff were welcoming on arrival and friendly and helpful throughout our 4 night stay. Plenty of parking behind the Inn. We had a twin room which was perfect for our purposes (a double and a single bed) with an ample en suite. Breakfast was great to set us up for days out with a range of cooked or buffet options. There are only a few places to eat in the area in the evening but the Globe has a good pub menu that we made use of. The area is great and we borrowed bikes from the Globe to ride along the canal which is just behind their car park - it is also a very pleasant area to walk along away from the roads with well-maintained paths and wildlife to observe. We would definitely return as it makes a good base to reach both northern and southern Devon coastlines, Exeter and other attractions (we didn’t visit Diggerland in Willand but could easily have reached it. The bar is very busy in the evenings with both locals and visitors, a great atmosphere and closes at a reasonable time so we were never disturbed by any noise. Highly recommended for a stay, whether as a stopover or for a longer stay to visit the area."
