Important Notes for Your Stay
This is a private home, not a hotel—while we don’t have on-site staff, any requests or issues will be addressed promptly.
A 4WD or AWD vehicle is strongly recommended in winter. The paved access road is steep and can be slippery during snow or ice.
The home does not have central AC, but evenings stay cool. Open the windows for fresh mountain air, and enjoy the fans or single window AC provided in summer.
Please review the sleeping arrangements before booking to ensure the home suits your group.
Trash must be placed inside the secure bins—never left outside overnight, as wildlife is active in the area.
TVs are equipped with streaming apps; just log in with your own subscriptions and don’t forget to log out at checkout.
A Bit of History
Built in 1933, this home once served as the headquarters for a local logging mill that boosted Cascade’s tourism industry. The built-in desk in the living room originally functioned as a roll-top desk and pay station for workers collecting weekly wages. The small road cutting through the property was mistakenly placed decades ago and has remained for over 50 years—adding to the home’s unique character.
