Recently renovated! Updates on the inside include new wood-look tile throughout, fresh coastal paint, new kitchen cabinets and a new cooktop. Outside there is a huge pergola that provides shade for almost the entire yard! There is also a wooden patio area in the corner of the property with patio furniture.

Situated on Alister Street in the heart of Port Aransas, this property is just a short distance away from the grocery store, restaurants, bars and other shopping. These cottages have been a fixture in Port Aransas for years and offer a truly unique location.

This home features tile flooring throughout. There is a dining table and the kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, stove, coffee maker and all the other essentials. This is a pet friendly rental. Pet fees are an additional $20.00+tax, per pet, per night. A maximum of 3 pets are allowed.

This home can sleep 4, with a king bed in the bedroom and a sleeper sofa. Updated furnishings including 2 flat screen televisions, all decorated in tasteful decor.

Available monthly during the winter for $1850/month.

Second time staying there.

Loved that it’s walking distance to so much! Didn’t have hot water but the property manager was very quick to respond. It’s a very quiet neighborhood which we love. We have two BIG dogs and yard was perfect for them. Definitely will stay again.

First time staying at the property and upon arrival was very happy of the choice. The cottage was clean, comfortable and had all the necessities. The outdoor area was Awesome, it is covered with a pergola that gives you all day shade. On the patio is a gas fire pit and a BBQ pit. The location of the cottages are very close to everything, literally walking distance.. I highly recommend anyone to stay in the cottages, and if you were as lucky as us, you might meet the Owner Jason. He is an amazing person, very friendly and truly wants the guest to have an amazing stay. Thank you and will see you again soon!

Nice Little Place in Port A

Walking distance to shopping, short drive to beach, quite property in off-season. No dishwasher or laundry on property or site. Overall, nice place to stay if you don't mind basics. Great for 2 people and dog.

We love the privacy of the yard and how pet friendly they are for our 3 fur babies. The yard is perfect for them. The King bed is so comfy and the kitchen is well stocked to cook your own meals. They have a new convection oven/microwave that works great! The location on the island is close to everything. We will be booking again!

Quaint

This was the first place we stayed at 1 yr ago coming down to Port A. This time it was nice to see the floors and kitchen cabinets had been redone. The matress needs to be changed out, it sinks in the middle. And both front and back doors were broken. Which I sent pictures of. The TV in the kitchen/common area didn't work. And there are no grilling utensils. Other than that the house was fine for what we needed it for.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have booked with Port A Escapes twice now. Very friendly staff and easy booking process. (We will continue to book with them). We chose to book this house due to the yard and it’s convince compared to the other one we have stayed in. I know it is Mother Nature but we were unable to sit outside with our pups. The mosquitoes were awful, we had to hunt down some kind of lawn treatment in town so we could at least stand out there with our dogs. I wish they would have sprayed the yard before we got there. The cottage only has one AC located in the bedroom and it wasn’t cooling the place down like the other cottage we have stayed at. And there was **** roaches inside. Other than that, these places in Spanish Village are perfect for couples and their furry animals.

Don't Do It

Not recommended! The biggest issue is this property was listed as sleeping 4. There is a King size bed and a pull out couch. The furniture was laid out such that the couch couldn't open without hitting the kitchen table. In addition, the couch itself wasn't long enough for a single person to lay across it. The property slept 2. When I booked, the amenities listed online included washer, dryer & dishwasher. I called the property manager upon arrival since none of those were in the property. I was told there was a coin operated washer/dryer somewhere on the premises (this does qualify as a listed amenity on VRBO) and she was unbothered about listing a dishwasher that didn't exist. Although the property manager seemed unconcerned, the online listing has since been updated, although it is still inaccurate in that it still lists a dryer. Cleanliness was also an issue. For instance, there was a used condom left under the bed. Gross. The worst part, and the reason for this review to warn others, was the attitude of the property manager. They did not care. They directed me to a line in the booking that accuracy of the listing could not be guaranteed. Um, seriously?!
