Amazing value, wonderful location.
Stayed here for one night,booked 2 rooms and both were fine. So many nice touches, water, fresh milk in the fridge not those awful little sachets, and the price included a continental breakfast. Wonderful value in a great location

“Boutique” this is not. One night stay, arrived late afternoon to a brusque check-in. The room was freezing on arrival though the convection heater did it’s job over the next few hours, could this have been switched on in advance. The room is dated and a little shabby, stains on the carpet and musty smell. The bathroom floor obviously has a rotten floorboard under Lino. Overall functional, reasonably clean but disappointing. Bed was comfortable

Ok for an overnight stay
Nice enough room, but quite basic. The continental breakfast was nice, good choice of items that were left on a table on the landing, which you ate in your room. Quite noisy at night as people stand outside the pub directly under the window (should have expected really but didn’t think of it)

Rooms are lovely with quirky decor. Continental breakfast was available with a good choice of items. Car parking is on the seafront and is about 3 minute walk. Make sure you have some change!

Very quiet, all good but the pub doesn't do food. Not a big problem as there are plenty of places to eat a short wall from the pub.

The hotel was in a great location in Cowes, we managed to park ok too on a sunday night. The room was nicely decorated and fitted a family of 4 well. Breakfast was nicely done having a selection available to eat in the room.

Really disappointing stay.
The website is misleading, no food is served on site, the breakfast is a bagged effort left outside the room. The bar opening hours are listed as bar closing at 2300hrs but in fact the Union Bar is the only bar that remains open in Cowes beyond 2300hrs so becomes very busy and loud from this time forward and closes at 0200hrs in the morning . All the bedrooms are above the bar area and poorly insulated from the excessive noise. The refurbishment of the rooms was poor bordering dangerous. Tiles not flush, the shower screen was not secured at the top so nearly fell out when touched.

A lovely weekend spent in Cowes at the Union Inn
We arrived cold and windswept on a cold November afternoon and it was lovely to enter the warm pub and sit by the welcoming log fire ! A lovely traditional pub full of character. Good service and friendly staff. The Union Inn is in a lovely spot in the heart of Cowes as well. Would definiutely recommend staying here.

Do not believe the description of amenities. There was no restaurant (kitchen was closed), breakfast, room service, Porter, DVD player, desk, phone or safe, bottled water or designer toiletries. We stayed in room 4. On entering the room smelt musty despite an open window. The bathroom fittings were heavily rusted and appalling. It’s quite clear that nothing had been done to ensure that the room was fit for purpose. The furnishings had clearly seen better days.

Such a nice little pub in Cowes . Had an issue when checked in but the staff sorted quickly . To the management , please go and inspect your rooms. Stayed in room 3 aand there is a broken floor tile in the bathroom which was dangerous and had to have a towel put over it. Comfortable room but dated and needs a good clean . Free breakfast couldn't be eaten as the milk and yoghurt were off because it was put outside the rooms the night before . Great location and ok for 1 night stay . Overall ok but couod be so much better . Very covid secure aand staff doing a fine job in that department .

Lovely pub, ideal location
Lovely place in a great location. Breakfast left on a tray for me each day, which was fine, however, the lack of any personnel was a bit of an issue - the heating and the wifi weren't working and the response I received didn’t help. The problems went unfixed, and it was freezing! It wouldnt stop me staying there again, but preferably when there's a live human being taking responsibilty for any problems encountered.

Hidden gem...
Charming room atop a lively bar (that still respected social distancing) was a wonderful treat to our staycation with our seven month old. The inn is located minutes from the red jet fast ferry from/to Southampton and is full of friendly staff, nestled among great shops and beautiful scenery, and offers a tasty breakfast. The place is a hidden gem.

Great place, great people and great location. Sleep was seriously disturbed by a group of young drunk people fighting outside our window at 2 in the morning. I suppose this is to be expected on a a Friday night in a town centre location. Otherwise a very nice stay.

Lovely Inn in a great location.
This was my second stay at the Union Inn, and I will return. I love the fact it is small and all the rooms are individual. It's good value for money, with breakfast included at the cafe next door. There are really nice touches, such as bathrobes and good quality bath products, plus bottled water (nice to see glass bottles and not plastic. A warm and friendly bar with lovely staff. Comfy beds and quiet made for a good nights sleep. Rooms are not huge and this time our bathroom was on the small side, but fine for a short stay. Will definitely book again. A great location close to everything.
