Not great for parking, and need to bear in mind that Cowes is quite hilly.

For the middle of May it felt very quiet but then that wasn't necessarily a bad thing.

We went to a party of sailing friends at the Island Sailing Club. Walking back late in the evening, all was shutting down although still lively at the Anchor. You have to go out for breakfast but there are several good options.

Excellent
Would maybe give the artisan bakery a miss, not the greatest service, but go to the upstairs bar a few doors down to have drinks served by a robot!
"Convenient, quiet location for a pre-cruise overnight stay. Transportation was readily avaliable and the front desk staff were very helpful to arrange. Had dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Breakfast was included in my room selection and it was delicious and plentiful. You cannot go wrong by including it. We enjoyed our stay in Portsmouth!"
"The staff was incredibly helpful from beginning to end. Forgot to bring my adapters for US to UK, they loaned me one to recharge my phone etc for my stay. We arrived a few hours prior to check in time and were allowed to rest in spa area. We were provided free shuttle to cruise terminal. Our accommodation was excellent. Would stay again."
