If it's your first time travelling during the COVID-19 outbreak, you'll notice a range of new restrictions and standards in place. Take note of these tips and make your getaway to Crystal Coast go off without a hitch:

• Know the restrictions and rules in both your origin and destination. It may not be possible to travel depending on local circumstances, so don't forget to check before you lock something in.
• Requirements state you must wear a face mask throughout your travel experience, including at security checkpoints. You should be prepared to lower your mask for ID verification when asked by a TSA officer.
• Instead of handing a TSA officer your boarding pass, place it straight on the reader yourself. After that, hold it up for inspection.
• One liquid hand sanitizer container is now allowed in your carry-on bag. It must not be larger than 12 oz (350 ml), and you'll need to remove it from your bag at the X-ray machine for scanning.
• To reduce handling during the screening process, put items such as your phone, coins and keys into your carry-on instead of into the bins.
• Separate any food you have for screening. Placing it in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA employee to handle and inspect your belongings.
