The accommodation is in a very convenient location with a regular bus to Edinburgh, as well as local attractions. Would have scored higher if there had been bottled shower gels, shampoos and a welcome basket

We had a wonderful stay at the Scotsman in early August. The gentleman in the beautiful green plaid suit who greeted us at the door was so lovely. He took the time to tell us about Edinburgh and gave us a map and directions to some sights that we inquired about.
During our stay, we received several calls from the wonderful folks at the front desk checking to make sure everything was good with us, the hotel and our room.
Our room was HUGE! Although we had a room facing the street and the bridge, it was very quiet. The cleaning folks kept our room and the hallways immaculate.
If we are ever back in Edinburgh, we will be staying at the Scotsman!

One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in and we travel a lot. Great location, big rooms, excellent breakfast. Very sad we only stayed one night. Perfect hotel!
