Beautiful Sugar Creek winds around the large screened porch of the Wildacre cabin, only yards away. Sleep with your windows open and let the bubbling of the creek lull you to sleep at night.

Enjoy a lazy afternoon in the hammock by the creek or relax in the rockers on the screened porch. Table and chairs available on screened porch for creekside dining in comfort. Picnic tables by the creek. Toast marshmallows in the campfire ring. Hike the trail on the property that crosses the creek several times, or hike on the Pin-Hoti Trail (joins the Appalachian Trail at Benton McKaye), only a mile away.

Wildacre is located in the North Georgia mountains, off US 76/GA 282 between Ellijay and Chatsworth, GA. Near Fort Mountain State Park, Carters Lake, Chief Vann House, New Echota, outlet malls in Dalton, and antiquing in Ellijay.

Relaxing getaway

Cabin was remote but still easy to get to other things in the area. Sitting on theScreened in back porch listening to the creek babbling was just what we needed. Crossed the creek to explore the trail-lots of fun! The welcome basket was a nice surprise! What a peaceful place—would highly recommend. Judy was quick to reply to any questions we had and there was a lot of info about things to do in the area.

Absolutely Beautiful and peaceful

If you enjoy nature and privacy this is the perfect place. We enjoyed our stay here the location is beautiful! The sound of the creek is very soothing. The cabin is very well stocked,clean, comfortable and homey. The front porch is a place you will want to hang out on for hours! Can't say anof good things to even do it justice!

Magical, relaxing, peaceful cabin by the creek

The cabin and location is private, peaceful and meserising. The screened in large porch overlooking the creek is incredibly peaceful, relaxing and soothing for the soul. If you need a place to destress, this is it. We spent hours reading, enjoying the fresh mountain air, hiking and enjoying the sounds of the water flowing in the creek. The cabin has everything you need and most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Little touches throughout make this so comfortable and a feeling of home away from home. Judy is the best host and quick to respond. We highly recommend this wonderful place and plan to go back next year.

Spectacular Creek Rental

My reason for choosing this property was the water. I love the tranquility of hearing water run over rocks. This creek was very pleasant and pretty. The house was modeled nicely and we had most of what we needed in the home already, provided by the owner. Everything was set up to give a welcoming feel. There was even a welcome gift basket so nicely provided by the owner. Ingles grocery store was only about 15 mins away, which was nice to buy food to cook back at the home. Edna's Restaurant is a good choice for eating out. The staff there was very kind.

The Creekside Cabin was a magical place for our family of 5's summer vacation! Directions and check in instructions were readily available. Upon entering the rustic and quaint cabin, we were greeted by an updated and comfortable interior. The living room was plush and the beds were comfy with lots of pillows and extra blankets. The hosts had left a gift basket with fresh fruit, snacks, and wine! The kitchen was well stocked with a coffee maker, toaster, microwave, oven and stove top. There was even waffle mix and a waffle iron for our breakfast the next morning (we only needed butter and water to make). The cabin is nestled in a valley between the small towns of Chatsworth and Ellijay. We stocked up on groceries to enjoy most of our meals at the cabin. Our teenage boys loved playing in the creek out front of the cabin! I recommend bringing river shoes for walking in the creek as some spots are slippery. The hosts provided a basket of towels, small tubes and water toys as well as a couple of chairs for sitting in the water (that was my favorite part)! Definitely bring plenty of bug spray as there, understandably, are bugs in the summer time. We enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch too. There is a precious flower and herb garden beside the cabin and a large vegetable garden on the ridge nearby. The hosts also provided firewood for the fire circle near the creek as well as metal marshmallow roasting sticks. Highly recommend!!!

Wildacre Cabin is my new favorite place. Notes: Kitchen: Everything we needed and more. Master Bedroom: Verrrrrrry comfortable bed, stunning view and within earshot of the creek. Master Bathroom: Great view, heated floors, walk-in shower. Living Room: Small but comfortable perfect for us. Front Porch: Huge and beautiful. Outside: Endlessly interesting, accessible, and useful. Creek: Beautiful soundtrack for our stay Must Have: Central air/heat. Perfect! Nice touches: - lovely gift basket from hosts - Alexa in livingroom, fireplace laid out and ready to burn - firepit laid out and ready to burn (although we didn't happen to use it during our stay) - plenty of blankets for curling up - TVs and movies - although we didn't use them - nice for families with kids maybe

Peaceful Retreat

An absolute gem! Couldn’t get enough of the lovely screened porch with the sounds of the creek and gentle breeze. Loved the solitude of the property but easy paved access. Other than a quick trip into Ellijay and a short hike on the Pinhoti Trail, I enjoyed just relaxing at the property. It had everything I needed - the welcome basket was a nice surprise! I’ll definitely keep this on my list!

Perfect Little Get Away

We were welcomed by the gentle sound of the creek and the sweet smells of a clean and cozy cabin. Judy was attentive to all of our needs. The kids loved looking for salamanders and crawfish under rocks by the creek and roasting marshmallows by the camp fire. I loved laying in the hammock reading my book, while my husband fished the creek. On the cold day and night we enjoyed a fire inside nestled on the couch watching one of the hundreds of available movies. The master bath was better than expected. We enjoyed our short drive to Blueridge and Ellijay for horseback riding and shopping. There is much history to learn about in this area and Fort Mountain had one of the most breathtaking overlooks I’ve ever seen. I highly recommend this cabin, my only regret was not booking it for longer.

An excellent little vacation place!

I stayed here with a couple of friends, and we had such a nice time! The location is gorgeous, and the kitchen has a great variety of equipment to cook with. Would love to stay here again!
