"We recently stayed at this apartment for a weekend, and it was a fantastic experience. The location couldn't be better, right in the heart of the city centre, making it easy to explore everything the city has to offer. "The lift was broken so the service lift was the only option. However the landing areas were 'behind the scenes' and poor quality. I did not much care for the long black hairs stuck to the walls of the shower from a previous guest. Clearly not a good cleaning regime. The shower has my pet hate. The shower controls are behind the door. You can't use them without being inside it and it is too small to avoid getting the inevitable blast of cold water that is living in the pipes before whatever the previous selected temperature lands on you. The breakfast was very good -freshly cooked and delivered on a plate. Not the usual buffet."

"Clean hotel with a good location. Friendly staff. Only a couple small complaints. Handle on window was broken so couldn't open it so that led to a hot and unventilated room which wasn't the most pleasant. Also the bed had a mattress topper on it, which both me and my partner had aches and pains due to.. maybe just invest in new mattresses instead of trying to cover the issues. Only minor issues that for what we paid we can't complain really but just minor things would make a big difference!"

"The Croft Hotel is in a very quiet location but a short bus journey or drive from the city centre and ideally located for the De Montfort Hall. Our room was spacious, with good natural light by day and electric lighting by night. It was a large room which was very clean and comfortable with ample storage for belongings and plenty of power sockets and windows that you can open! Our bed was extremely clean and comfortable and the shower was easy to regulate. The hotel has a bar and a TV room. The staff were as friendly and helpful as they could possibly have been, making sure that we were comfortable and giving advice as needed. It was a great place to stay and I'd not hesitate to return there should I ever return to Leicester. I do have one suggestion for the owner and that is to consider replacing the curtains in the ground floor room we stayed in. Currently, the curtains don't quite cover the windows, which didn't bother us but might be a problem for future guests."
