"The apartment was nice, but definitely not without its problems. The seating in the living room was most uncomfortable and the rooms were always cold. Asked once for heating, but never received an answer so we used the heater in the kitchen. The host was at times unbearable as she kept telling us what to do or not to do repeatedly as if we were children. Through our multiple exchanges, she also mentioned that she was a lawyer. "The room was suitable for our short stay, however with such lovely expanse of grounds it was therefore unfortunate that the view from our room was a 12foot high brick wall. Despite there being no air conditioning the room had a patio door which once open cooled the room. Upon request the hotel provided a fridge for my elderly mothers insulin, unfortunately the fridge was faulty and froze the insulin which caused a unplanned medical issue. They were quick to provide another fridge which was needed for the replacement pen. At 5pm I placed a bar food order for Gamon, egg and chips. I was informed food was served from 6pm which was not a problem. I needed to eat the food in my room so I asked if a call could be placed to my room when ready so I could come and get it. I never received a call so my food sat under heat lamps. It was 6.16pm when my food was brought to my room. The gammon was lovely, the fried eggs were over cooked, so no yolk, or the lamps could have dried them out, the chips were over cooked which I was unable to eat. If I wasn't so hungry I would have sent it back. Despite all of this I would certainly recommend the Manor of Groves and stay there again but ask for a room with a view and be specific about my food requirements"

"Everything was going well evening meal was lovely in the restaurant and really are only negative feedback came the following morning at breakfast. Unfortunately, the coffee was undrinkable and the scrambled eggs were inedible, which was disappointing. Following breakfast, we decided to go for a swim before checking out, only to be advised that swimming lessons were taking place between 9:30am and 1:00pm and that we would therefore not be able to access the pool area. To the best of my knowledge, this restriction was not made clear during the booking process or upon check-in. This was particularly disappointing as my son had been very much looking forward to swimming that morning and it was one of the reasons we chose to stay at the hotel. Otherwise all good"

"Was a great place to stay to travel to Wembley stadium (a walk and a tube away - going in the opposite direction to all the crowds!) We stayed on a very very hot weekend and the apartment was in the sun. They had tried to cool things down with various fans, but was still really warm. Otherwise, was really a great place, really clean and tidy. Can use the restaurant/bar in the holiday inn which is attached. And parking was also available and really reason priced for an overnight stay. Better than we were expecting! Superb."
