"I like that it was off/away from the main thoroughfare. That is what contributed to it being a more quiet facility. I was in room 208 and the air conditioning wasn't quite as cool as it should have been."

"Check in smooth. Fridge not working in room but got fixed after a couple of requests. Basic facilities and breakfast was as basic as could be. A supermarket near by, also a couple of bar/restaurants. 20 minute walk to the main area of town and the local train service to downtown Chicago (Metra). OK for the price"

"Staying in the Round Lake Beach area to visiting family. Room is great and clean. Pretty view of Fox Lake. Only draw back is it is over a bar. Karaoke comes right up through the floor. Not to much of a problem as the bar closes at 11:00. So just have to suffer through the drunken super star want a be singers. It is good for some laughs. Over all I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. "

"A really nice spot to retreat to after exploring the area each day. Rehana and Joe put a lot of themselves into their property, the bird sanctuary, and this very cool cottage. We would definitely recommend and will try to come back soon!"
