The amazing monitor lizards were swimming in the river one day. The staff were so kind and the bicycles were free so we explored locally. A perfect place to stay rather than the noise of the city."

"Baan Chompoo Homestay is very clean and only 5 minutes walk to Amphawa Floating market. Breakfast was reasonable though not the best shower we had, but we were happy with out stay. You can catch songtheaw (public open ute) from across the road to go to Maeklong train market for 8baht per person so very cheap. No taxi available, however private car to Bangkok about 1200baht - The owner was nice to call and organise one when we requested."

The restaurant overlooks the canal and the food was great though there could have been more variety to the daily dishes.Our room was good except for the adjoining storage room which was noisy when sliding open and closed. Besides, there were a lot of tiny ants in a particular area of the room, but the staff dealt with them promptly on two...
