"Loved it, felt like a real local. Washer was a plus and included detergent! Fast responses and overall a great stay :) 9.8/10 a little bit dusty specifically the top of air conditioner but hey, it’s an older place, it was expected and part of the vibe. Recommend if you want to stay in a more traditional place hence the name of the place. "

"This house was great. Located right next to the palace grounds. Just a walk to some good dining. A grocery store just around the corner. Easy access to bus stops to get around town. I could not possibly pick a better place to stay. "

"This is the second time I wrote the review for this guesthouse. My first review for Micasa was gone when I click the send button, but I want to finish writing the review to let more people know Micasa and how good this place is. The facilities are very new. The overall interior has that calm, clean, and a little bit zen feeling. Our family especially likes their bathroom, it was quite a enjoyment to use a bathroom like that. "Although this property was an old nice machiya they updated it with a nice bathroom. But the beds were really comfy. I didn’t care for the location because it was far from bus and train station. It’s a long hot walk with all our luggage. Overall I probably wouldn’t stay again because of location but the inn was really great. "

"Great location as it’s just steps from the main Kyoto Station, Don Quiote, and Aeon Mall. Being on the south side of the station means a bit less hussle and bussle, easier to access. It is much quieter and less foot traffic. The room was very clean and spacious for our family. Multiple floors for laundry was a definite great add-on for us (and even a tv channel dedicated to monitoring the laundry machines vacancy). Definitly recommend and would stay again in the future."
