Historic Hotels in Val d'Oise

"We were disappointed striaght away as we came through the reception which looked shabby (I refer in particular to a sofa with a chunk missing out of it; an open door leading downstairs revealed a ceiling with bits of wire dangling down ). The receptionist or manager? stated he wasn't expecting us but rectified it after checking his computer.He then went to check the room was clean and disappeared for about 10 minutes on his return he said it had been cleaned but he was looking for the key?!...
