This scenic oceanfront town in County Kerry is known for its nearby golden beaches, spectacular mountain ranges and historic pubs and restaurants.

Visit Dingle for breathtaking views of the Atlantic coastline. This town is renowned for its striking green countryside. Hike a trail and take in the surroundings or relax on a sandy beach. Enjoy a traditional Irish meal in an old pub. Venture onto the peninsula and discover an early Christian church. Climb one of Ireland’s most imposing mountains for spectacular views of the countryside. This pretty township also features a range of independent clothing stores and art galleries.

Discover the remarkable Gallarus Oratory on the Dingle Peninsula. This architectural marvel is believed to be an early Christian church. It was built from large cut stones over 1,000 years ago. Listen to a short presentation and learn about this building and the peninsula’s rich archeological history.

The Dingle Peninsula is one of Ireland’s most beautiful natural areas. Cycle or drive along a scenic route and appreciate the rolling mountains and jagged cliffs. Hike to the summit of Mount Brandon. At over 3,000 feet (1,000 metres) high, the mountain trek is considered moderate to difficult however, the breathtaking views of the Dingle Peninsula are worth the effort.

Stop at the Dingle Oceanworld Aquarium and see the distinctive gentoo penguin. A white-striped head and bright orange beak distinguish this species of penguin from others. See exotic fish and fearsome sharks. Learn how the aquarium is committed to restoring endangered Irish and international marine life.

Spend some time at Inch Beach, located about a 30-minute drive from the centre of Dingle. This beach stretches about 3 miles (5 kilometres) long and is considered one of the most beautiful in Ireland. Relax on the sand, swim and learn to surf at this stunning coastal treasure.

Back in Dingle, wander along lively Strand Street and enjoy a pint of Guinness in a cosy Irish pub. Stay in a guesthouse or old inn.

Dingle is about 90 miles (150 kilometres) from Cork. The closest airport to the peninsula is Kerry Airport in Farranfore, about 40 miles (60 kilometres) from Dingle.
