"From stepping foot into the hotel, we were greeted with smiles from the lovely staff. Our room was lovely, much bigger than expected and was clean. The windows don’t open but the air conditioning kept the room cool all night. We didn’t hear the slightest bit of noise during our stay so it really was peaceful. Breakfast was the best I’ve had in any hotel. So much to choose from and a proper coffee machine. Everything was cooked perfectly and was hot and the continental options were amazing. We would definitely book again and I’d recommend to anyone!! "

The staff were excellent, Yuko on reception and Tom who looked after us with afternoon tea, where both exceptional and a credit to the hotel, both were very professional and polite. "We checked in on a rainy Sunday afternoon. The feeling of comfort when we stepped into the Royal Lion and how we were welcomed made our day. Awesome hotel in a quaint seaside town! Rooms came as advertised. Would recommend staying at the Royal Lion if you are planning on going to or through Lyme-Regis. Try stay a Sunday night as the roast beef dinner was devine!"
