Beautiful comfortable room with nice view.
By Montreal standards, this hotel was easy access to public transit to tourist spots i.e. for people who can walk and climb stairs. This location, as are many in Montreal, would be a significant challenge, nearly impossible at times, for people with disabilities. Some metro stops only have stairs, no escalators or elevators. I saw families carrying strollers up/down 2 flights of stairs both directions from outings.
It also took a lot of effort to find restaurants/convenience shops in this hotel area (hotel restaurant/gift shop prices were a tad ridiculous) plus many places in the downstairs of the building were inconveniently closed on the weekend. Foodies may want to stay elsewhere since "close restaurants" were like 3-4 long or uphill blocks minimum and not really "nearby."
However ala carte delivery is available online for a fee from many restaurants and the Grand Central train station, Via rail Canada, was literally across the street!
Overall, Beautiful and classy hotel I really enjoyed visting and that helped me maximize my time in Montreal. Room housekeeper was a highlight as she was kind, attentive and just a perfectly pleasant face after a long journey!
The room had a separate kitchenette, living room and and bedroom area. This was always a plus for la Tour Belvedere. Unfortunately, the fake hardwood floors, installed a few years ago, sag and creak. The bathroom and bedroom door also creak while opening and closing them. Kleenex was also not part of the amenities provided

This was my third stay in the Crystal , but unfortunately I would be able to return? Why? I was absolutely unable to connect my VPN on my laptop using their wi-fi. There is just come incompatibility. They sent up a "technician" but he had no clue. So when I needed to read my work e-mails, I had to go to Starbuck where the wi-fi worked perfectly.
A few other annoyances: I could not turn up the TV volume enough to hear the news very well....presumably so I not disturb my neighbors. Realistically my room was so large and the TV was far from any other room. One more, the cereal I order at breakfast for $10.00, it was pretty much a "sample size" and I had to order a second helping. No I am not gigantic as I weight 182 lbs. Upon checking out to show the person a small bottle was water I took from the room which was not on the price list....the I pointed out thy were giving them away for free. Result, I was charged $2.99 after checking out on my Amex card. So the little things add up after all.
This hotel was awesome. Friendly, courteous staff. Check in not until 3 pm but we arrived 1030 am and was given a room immediately. Room was so spacious with a massive bathroom. Loved how big the jacuzzi tub was and the tv next to it was a bonus! The bed was so comfortable. Able to easily unwind after a full day of shopping at St. Catherine's st (which was literally next door)!
Most of the city's museums, corporate headquarters, and department stores can be found in downtown Montreal. Crescent Street draws party-goers to its restaurants, bars, and night clubs. Mount Royal Park features the 30m-high (98-foot) steel cross visible across Montreal and illuminated each night. Hockey fans flock to the Bell Centre, home of the Montreal Canadiens.
