The hotel was about a 20 minute walk from City Center, however if you use the bus system they stop right by the hotel. We booked the family room, which was big and spacious. The beds were super comfortable. Only complaint, our room was in the lower level and the hallways and room had a musty/old smell and the carpet appeared old and dirty. The bathroom was big, shower was awesome, but no fan to remove the moisture and steam, so it was always wet and humid after showers. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They booked our taxis when needed. The restaurant had good food. I would stay here again, just small concerns and understand Ireland can be damp and humid which may add to the smell and cleanliness of carpet.
Outstanding hotel. Staff was wonderful, room well appointed and clean, restaurant and bar excellent. We made great use of the convenient location. Would stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend.
The hotel was pretty nice, but when we got to our room, there was only one towel. I tried to call reception but neither of the 2 phones were working. So, when we were going out I asked at reception to have a towel sent to our room. I was told no problem, yet when we got back there was still no towel and I had to go back downstairs to the reception to ask for one again. This might not seem like a big issue, but hotel prices in Ireland are so crazily expensive right now that I would have hoped that the staff would at least make an extra effort to give value for money. Even at these high rates breakfast was not included.
