Cons: Small TV in room and has a sound limit, old air conditioning facilities.
Location: 15 min walk to Temple Bar district/bars by the river, although plenty of shops and bars in surrounding area of hotel. Easy journey to/from the airport
Hotel is in good location, plenty of shops/bars/restaurants nearby. Room is clean, although fairly basic. Bathroom spacious.

Livable, but not amazing.

Had to pound on the sliding glass door to get receptionist to open the door for a late check in. Everything was outdated, carpet was dirty, beds were uncomfortable, pillows like rocks. Breakfast was pretty good, but for 12 EUR per person it should be.

Nice Hotel But Construction Ruined My Vacation

Posted 27-Jun-2018
Pros: The location was perfect, the food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and professional
Cons: They could have offered a discount to the guests because of the very loud noise of construction drilling between 10a-5:30p
Location: Murray’s Pub had great fish and chips and Irish beef stew. Great location because you can walk to anyplace within 15-30 minutes.
The hotel was doing some renovations which caused the most unpleasant drilling on the roof top from 10am-5:30pm, nonstop, every day (except Sunday). The noise was maddening and I could hear it loudly even though I was on the 2nd floor. I overheard other guests complaining at the front desk and it was met with a “so sorry but the drilling will continue.” At the very least they could have issued us a discount but that was not offered. They have no deadline when they expect this renovation to end. Some minor issues: the TV remote didn’t work but I did not report it since I was watching shows on my tablet. My WiFi expired in 5 days although I was scheduled to stay for 9 days. I had to call down to the front desk to obtain a new WiFi password on the 6th day. It’s their policy to only issue 5 day WiFi passwords. Although the construction was maddening, the staff are very friendly and professional, the restuarant food is delicious (try the stew roast beef and curry chicken, delicious). My room smelled a little the first day I arrived and looked a little dingy (the lamp shades were stained) but everyday after that, it smelled great! They even replaced the lamps with the stained shades after a couple of days without me even asking! It was a great location too!

I was unable to experience peace at anytime

Posted 25-Jun-2018
Pros: This hotel was close to the city square of Dublin.
Cons: In this particular case, a disclaimer should be issued when booking to allow guests to make an informed decision in light of the construction.
Location: Temple Bar
My particular experience for the week I stayed was terrible. The hotel was doing renovations every day from 10 -5; I feel that this fact should have been included somewhere in the booking process so I could have found a QUIETER hotel. There was jack hammering and drilling throughout the day, making it impossible to sleep in during or take naps at any point during the day. This noise also made it impossible to conduct phone calls for business when needed. The hotel staff were all very nice, however, I was unable to utilize my room in ways which I often look forward to on a vacation, which is to attain peace, quiet and catch up on sleep.

Despite being in the middle of a refurbishment , we enjoyed our stay. The rooms could do with an upgrade as they are a bit tired looking, but this may be in the refurb plans.

Location was near the top of O'Connell street, taking 2 seniors in our 70's about 15 minutes to reach O'Connell bridge. We also were within walking distance of the start of each of the 4 day tours we took. We had great weather during our 8 days...no rain and daylight until almost 10PM Our room was spacious as well as the bathroom. Little touches like a few hooks in the bathroom to hang your robe would have been a nice touch but we managed. A freezer chest by the elevator with bags of ice was nice. We ate in dinning twice for dinner taking advantage of 2 courses and free glass of wine for about 19euro, food was good. Airlink stop and frequency made this a great location. We would consider this hotel again if we were lucky to return. Hop on hop off bus stop around the corner.
