Better than what I was expecting
The location is close to the Dubrovnik Brewery, restaurants and the bus stop to catch the 1a, 1b or 3 bus to Old Town. Although the 2 twin beds were pushed together, it would have been better to have a full one mattress instead of 2 separate ones.

A lovely hotel, all brand new inside with really helpful staff. Very comfy beds and great showers! Loads of plugs & usb points. Could just do with a few more hooks in the bathroom! And a couple of cups.

Free parking was fantastic as it is hard to find in Dubrovnik. Bus station across the street to head to old town.

Good location for city centre
This hostel is well located for the harbour and local craft beer brewery. It took about half an hour to complete a pleasant walk into the city centre. The old town is worth a visit, of course, and is kept very clean with plenty of references to Game of Thrones. The accommodation was basic, modern and very clean. Just right for a quick stay.

Highly recommended hostel in Dubrovnik
I stayed 4 nights, in a single room, at this very modern hostel. It was a very comfortable stay. The hostel was a bit of a distance from the old town but the buses are fairly regular with two separate stops nearby. There are several cool bars, a supermarket and places to eat near the hostel too. I recommend Hostel Sol to anyone on a budget or on a short stay like myself.

Hotel was nice, however we had a huge issue at check in! I booked for 3 people, 3 beds and confirmation said 2 rooms with private bath! When we checked in the agent gave us one room 402 within the 402/403 room so we tried to open door 403 too but it won’t open. I went back down to explain and the agent said no we only have one room 402 which has two single beds. So where is the 3rd bed I asked and I showed him the reservation confirmed 2 bedrooms which would be 403. But he insisted that I would have to book another room!! I finally asked him to call his manager coz we were spending too much time trying to resolve it! He did and said his boss told Him to give us 402 - also he told us that we have 403 and might have to share the bathroom with 402! It was a nightmare! Finally we got 402/403 and the private bath! This was the biggest issue other than that the stay was good! It boils down to how staff manages issues that they create!

One night in Dubrovnik
Overnight after returning to Dubrovnik to get flight home. Recently reopened. Good value, not far from the bus station for a No7 not the old town. 30 min walk to Lapud for beaches and great selection of restaurants. On a busy road and entrance is around the back but great value for money

The location is good just a few minutes walk from main bus station. Breakfast is ok and starts at 7am, this is good if you want to have a morning walk on old city wall to avoid crowded situation.

City fathers are a greedy bunch!
I have to say the stay at the hotel was the best part of my visit to Dubrovnik. After visiting the ancient fort that has been turned into an overpriced shopping mall with dozens of restaurants and high high entry fees to each historical building, I came back to hotel thoroughly disappointed. The young woman on staff helped me reorganize my schedule with visits to botanical gardens, islands, a museum explaining Croatian communism and great restaurants outside the walled city. She saved my trip. Highly recommend Hotel Sol (i know the name says Hostel but it's really a hotel). Highly suggest you take a pass on Dubrovnik!

I had a wonderful experience at Hostel Sol, Ani and Andrea the front desk girls were very nice, helpful and patient. The location is perfect, walking distance to everywhere, two blocks from the airport bus station, extremely convenient, a taxi/Uber ride can be a bit expensive. Close to restaurants, grocery stores, bar, Dubrovnik port right in front, it was clean, good breakfast I’m coming back next year and I will stay there again.

We booked to stay at Hostel Sol for one night. The reviews looked great, the photos looked to show nice modern rooms, so even though it was technically a hostel we booked. On arriving to Hostel Sol we were told they were actually full, despite us having booked a room through Expedia, and therefore they were sending us down the street to their sister hotel, Hotel Petka. On arriving to Hotel Petka it looked fine, definitely not as clean or modern as Hostel Sol, but good enough for one night. However, once we got to our floor it looked like we were in an outdated and dirty hotel that hadn’t been updated since the 50s. Then when we got to our room it had hardly been cleaned as the sheets looked dirty, with stains on the walls, and mold in the bathroom. The carpet was peeling up, the room was damp, and to top it off when we arrived back to our room after dinner the AC was not working. It’s one thing to book a hotel room that you don’t have and UPGRADE a guest, but do that and downgrade them without adjusting the price is odd. I cant recommend this hotel less considering you aren’t even guaranteed that you’ll be staying there, and the alternative is disgusting.

The name hostel is misleading. It's indeed a hotel with your own room and private bath. The room is very modern. The location is excellent, the port is right across the street, as well as the bus stops to the Old City and the airport.

This is a very modern hotel/hostel that has all the modern expectations such as usb charging points in rooms. The room was clean and tidy and had everything you would require for your stay. The staff are not particularly attentive. We arrived about 2am due to flight delay and spent over 5 minutes buzzing the door trying to enter the property (I had already contacted them to make sure late night arrival would not be an issue). We only managed to get into the building as thankfully a group were returning after their night out and let us in with their key card. Once at Reception we were checked-in quickly. Breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold foods. Hot food was just out on the tables on plates rather than on hot plates to keep food warm, however the food always seemed fresh. Great location for the port. We were only staying one day before travelling onto an island. Therefore it was ideally located as we could just pick up our luggage and cross the road to the port for our ferry. The airport shuttle bus does a drop off at the bus station which is less than a 5 minute walk to the hotel. Again great for heading back to the airport after your trip. The hotel allowed us to store our luggage after check out however the luggage was just left in the common area up against the wall so not particularly safe storage (not given a tag or anything to identify luggage). There did seem to always be someone on Reception but they had no way of knowing which luggage was yours.

The view from the room was very cool！ The room was clean. I chose to stay because I had to take the ferry when I leave Dubrovnik. The location was very convenient for me cos it was close to both the bus main station and the ferry port. The bus stop of the buses to old town was not far away, either.
