BOOK THIS PLACE! It's wonderful. A bit out of Dunedin, very quiet. Lovely farm with a great view of the valley and surrounding farms. Easy to find off Hwy 1. And then there's the room! Simple and very comfortable. Great water pressure, comfy beds, quiet and relaxing, and a wonderful breakfast. I'm very much hoping to stay again! (and you get to feed Sam, the sheep)

Chrissie is a very friendly and extremely hospitable host. The lodge is delightful with great rural views. The room was great and the breakfast was superb. A great place to stay and very good value for the money spent.

For us it was perfect as the location was near the airport and we had a 6:15am flight and we had a car rented, but it is far from town so you really do need a car.

Accommodation wrong described

We booked 6 months in advance and thought we were getting an en-suite bathroom. When we arrived we were told it was a shared bathroom. Evidently there had been a problem with the website which has since been corrected and now states shared bathroom. We had booked two nights but only stayed one and was given a cash refund less commission for the second night. I accepted the refund but in hindsight felt that it was inadequate bearing in mind that it was not my error and the fault was with the incorrect detail on the website. I would never book a shared bathroom and this was the only issue we had in our 60 night trip around NZ and Australia. I am still disappointed in the way this property handled this error which has cost me additional dollars

I highly rate this as a top class place to stay. Breakfast was simple but the best. Free range eggs and lamb sausages made from their own sheep on the farm. The host treated you as if you were family. Thank you thank you thank you for a wonderful experience on our road trip through New Zealand. We will certainly stay here again when we do another road trip.

Great relaxing stay, away from the hustle and bustle of town. Plenty of room to stretch out and enjoy the magnificent views, relaxing with a cuppa while reading a book.

10 minutes from airport and 15 minutes from town. Lovely New-Zealand-farmland-scenery-at-its-best views from entrance. Host delightful. Having had three children attend Otago University (Dunedin) we have had many nights in Dunedin accommodation. This was our favorite.
