Thanks for the upgrade

We arrived Christmas evening and Jack was there to meet us. He was very friendly and upgraded our room for the evening to the Honeymoon suite. It was very nice. Spacious and clean. It spoiled us a bit as the room we had booked and spent the next two nights in (the Gauguin), was much smaller. But fair enough! The upgrade for the evening was appreciated. Overall, the B&B was clean and well run. Jack was very friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is residential so not exactly a destination but Eugene is so small we could get anywhere we needed quickly.

C'est la Vie Inn

The C'est la Vie Inn is a lovingly restored Victorian "painted lady", beautifully furnished in period antiques. Room was small, but more than adequate for two, and was clean and comfortable. Bath was modern and clean. Grounds and gardens are extensive and beautifully maintained. We were met and checked in by the owner who is very friendly and was most accommodating. Breakfast, which included fresh fruit and quiche, was well prepared and delicious.

Great visit!

This was the BEST B&B we have stayed in and we have visited several over the years, preferring these to hotels. The house was immaculate, comfortable and beautiful. The Innkeepers were great hosts. The grounds were phenomenal. We will definitely return

Lovely neighborhood location. Woke up feeling like I was in Paris every morning - beautifully decorated and cozy. Close enough to UO to visit my daughter and experience the local environs

Wonderful!

Beautiful...beautiful...beautiful. Such a nice home. Our host Jack was so nice and friendly. Beautiful details put into this home. The breakfast was delicious. We had never been to Eugene before and we are so glad we chose this place to rest for the night. Lots to do there as well..would love to go back. Try Noli's for dinner and Sweet Life Patisserie for dessert..Jacks recommendations...Delicious :)

Too short of a stay!

I stayed at the C'est la Vie Inn just one night before flying out of the Eugene airport. The home is a magically restored "Painted Lady" beautifully furnished with period antiques, very warm and welcoming. The butler's panty was well stocked and included fresh baked cookies. There are so many nice little touches I only wish I could have stayed longer.

Perfect Transition

I stayed at C'est la Vie with my daughter as she was going through orientation and move-in for her freshman year at U of Oregon. It was the perfect spot and it is really a home and Jack went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. I will look forward to saying here in the futuer as I visit my daughter.

A Gem in Downtown Eugene

C'est La Vie is a beautifully restored Victorian house in a residential area of downtown Eugene. It is very convenient to the Lane Co. Fairgrounds/Event Center. The house and garden are lovely and immaculate. The owner gives all his guests personal attention. The experience is like staying with a friend rather than in a hotel. Our room was rather small and only fit a queen bed, but that is the limitation of an historic home. Highly recommended.

First B&B Experience

My husband and I celebrated our 10th Anniversary at C'est la vie Inn, out first experience with a B&B and we were delighted. We will be staying at more B&B's in our future travels. We sincerely hope they can measure up to our experience at C'est la vie. Entering the Inn was like taking a step back in time to a more refined era, surrounded by very elegant yet comfortable antique period pieces. The surrounding grounds were every bit as elegant and inviting as the Inn itself. We were greeted upon arrival by one of the owners, Jack, who was warm and welcoming, giving us a tour of the Inn which culminated in showing us where the "stash" of homemade cookies and gourmet coffees, bottled water and juices were available to guests any time, day or night. In the morning we were treated to a gourmet breakfast in the lovely dining room and very pleasant conversation regarding our mutual fascination with antique pieces and who may have owned them throughout the years...we wished we had planned a longer stay and plan to return.

Pleasant b & b ...would definitely go again.

The couple who own this bed and breakfast have put an enormous amount of time, energy and attention to detail in updating this 100+ year old structure. They are extremely hospitable.

Hidden treasure in Eugebe

The Victorian home has been beautifully restored. The decor is exquisite and the service is impeccable. Jack is not only the inn keeper he is also the owner who truly enjoys what he does. We arrived and were attended to immediately. Our room was gorgeous and comfortable. We received a personal tour of the house from the balcony to the garden outside. The French inspired breakfast was part of the stay and delicious! Definitely will return.

A beautiful relaxing getaway

My wife and I absolutely loved the beautiful house and gardens. The owner, Jack, was very friendly and welcoming. He made us feel at home. We had our best night's sleep of the trip here. The breakfast was tasty and the service excellent. We look forward to returning next time we are in Oregon. Thank you Jack for everything!!!!!

Beautiful B&B

Very beautiful and comfortable B&B. Everything was very clean and very luxurious. The inn keepers were very helpful and attentive if you needed them but otherwise left you to enjoy your stay. I will definitely stay here again, I only wish I could have stayed longer this time.

too much money for such a short stay

I flew into Eugene late and decided not to drive to my destination - I should have selected a "regular hotel" and not a B&B - but frankly I did not know this was a B&B until I found out the check in was 6:00 PM and had to call for a special check in time. My fault.

A real jewell.

Beautiful Victorian home originally built by one of Eugene’s founding families. Very well maintained inside and out with a pleasant garden complete with numerous seating areas and plants identified with name markers. The hosts were delightful and the breakfast soufflé was delicious. I’d highly recommend this establishment for anyone visiting Eugene and wanting an “other than hotel” experience.

B&B in Eugene, OR

The B&B was great, the hosts lovely, the food was very nice. The neighborhood was OK, but was probably the only thing that was not superb.

Wonderful Rest at C'est la Vie Inn

We had one mishap after another on this trip, but the choice to stay here was the one thing we did right. Owner and staff were helpful beyond call of duty...our car had broken down. Food was excellent and nurturing, bed was the most comfortable I had ever encountered away from home. Quiet, lovely, close to the most awesome places to eat. Thanks, Jack!
