The Fleece

"We had a wonderful stay at the Fleece. The hotel has a lovely location on the green and near the church. Checking in was great, and also the staff that served us during both dinner and at breakfast were so lovely and looked after us really well. The guy at breakfast was working his socks off to serve everyone but managed it with humour too! The food at dinner was delicious, and the breakfast was one of the best we’ve ever had. It was obviously a popular place for food too as it was busy the whole time. My only criticism is that the area on the way to our room was very tired, and initially I was concerned about our booking, so a bit of a refresh is needed."

"Really lovely food and rooms were clean and comfy. We had everything we needed for our stay. Lots of parking too and the staff were working and friendly. We visited as was in the area to visit the Farmer’s Dog and this was the perfect location."

"We invited our family to join us at New Yatt Farm for our Golden Wedding Anniversary. We all thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay. The farmhouse itself had been completely renovated by the owners after taking it on in an uninhabitable state. The house is now amazing, beautifully renovated and brought up to the highest of modern standards, but also with care to preserve many of the original features including exposed beams, open fireplaces, and spiral staircases which connect the three floors of this extensive house. A lovely grand staircase also leads up to the first floor. The stunning kitchen with eating and relaxing areas leads to extensive outside areas in a beautiful country setting, with seating, tables, hot tub and plenty of outdoor activities, including table tennis, badminton, cricket, football and more! Indoors there are many other games including a pool table, board games and several large screen TV’s. New Yatt Farm is a great place for families to get together, there is something for everyone and we could not have wished for anywhere better for our family celebration."

"We booked a air-conditioning room because it was hot,we knew it was upstairs,my husband managed stairs after having a rest on a chair,the staff helped me with the luggage. The room was lovely with a sofa,bathroom very good ,Anita was very kind and fixed the temperature of air-conditioning for us. A lovely stay"

"The hut was very clean and comfortable and suited the four of us perfectly. We also appreciated the fact that there were only two other huts in the field and there was space between them. Despite arriving quite late our hostess met us and made sure everything was ok. The swimming pond is a wonderful bonus and we would definitely return. Thank you!"

"What a lovely cosy shepherd's hut in a quiet field with 2 other huts well spaced apart. I never heard any of the other guests. It was perfect as a little hideaway to relax after working in the area. Very clean."
