"I was a bit surprised by having to check myself in upon arrival. After a long journey down I could really have done without that hassle. However after that, everything was fine. "

"My go to place whenever I’m in London. Its location is convenient for me with the tube station right down the street, and the style and standard of this hotel makes it an easy choice. This time I booked the room with the large terrace and it was such a great experience on cooler evenings to have the doors open instead of air conditioning. The food is also too notch. The staff is always attentive and caring and I hope it always stays this way."

"This is a great small hotel with central location and transit connections all around. Neatly managed with comfy beds and clean bathrooms, in need of an update but functional. The entrance of the hotel is in a narrow alley and the view from the rooms above the entrance is the stage door entrance/back of the building of the Dominion Theatre. Make sure you ask for a room with a view if you stay here. The service is unparalleled!"

"Overall we had a good stay but we originally checked in having booked a big loft room which I found dark so after we were changed to two standard rooms with queen beds which were smaller but had more natural daylight. The rooms we had were comfortable with unlimited water plus tea and coffee making facilities. However one blind was not working in one room and the tick off list for the laundry was not there either. Both issues were dealt with quickly though. The air conditioning in the bedroom and in the lobby is good. The staff were polite and helpful throughout our stay."

"Really enjoyable stay at the Gem Fitzrovia Hotel. The location is excellent — just a short walk from Oxford Circus, with plenty of great restaurants and bars nearby. It’s a really convenient base for exploring central London. Breakfast was a highlight, with a great selection and plenty of choice. The staff were lovely throughout our stay, but a special mention has to go to the breakfast team, who were particularly friendly and welcoming. The rooms are a little dated and could probably benefit from a refresh, but they were comfortable and the air conditioning worked very well. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable stay in a fantastic location. Would happily stay here again."
